I know I've seen some of you mention your medical training. I have this recurring problem that, perhaps, you (or anyone else familiar with my symptoms) could help me with.
I have an occasional swelling in the area "down there". I also experience a sort of ache ... not a serious pain, but a definite feeling that draws my attention to that area; at times I would even call it a throbbing feeling. My heart rate seems to quicken, and I get a warm sensation. (I know this seems weird, but my tongue seems a bit "active" also, like it's in need of something to lick. Strange sensation, indeed.)
The symptoms seem to worsen during rather specific times of the day, like the very early morning hours when I am on the computer. (I scan the boards, reading reviews and looking at provider ads, answer a few tantalizing emails, etc; nothing out of the ordinary.) Is this perhaps an exposure to CRT radiation? Would an upgrade to larger Flat Panel Display help my situation any?
The other time the symptoms sometimes crop up are when there are ladies around. Not all ladies cause these reactions, just certain types. (and, it seems, the better looking ones might be the cause of the problem) Is it perhaps some fragrance they wear at a younger age that older ladies just aren't hip to? Or, perhaps, some fabric that is not popular with those other ladies?? I mean, maybe I'm allergic to this fragrance or fabric??
I got up the courage to have someone take a good look at the situation about a month ago. (Luckily the symptoms seemed VERY aggravated and intense at the time.) This lady (a very lovely angel, might I add) gave me a very thorough exam, particularly in the affected area. I think she was one of those "alternative medicine types", as she opted to try various methods to pump the area to relieve the swelling. (She was quite creative in her methods, at times, even showing me some exercises that would help to pump the area. It was a bit fun [okay quite a lot of fun], but almost exhausting to me.) Now, I did experience some sort of relief after she attempted the pumping sessions. (She insisted on trying again.) The swelling subsided a little bit, but only for a short time. Had I ingested some sort of toxic agent? (She never mentioned it, but I did notice that the pumping had removed this hard to describe milky fluid. She tasted it, but never commented as to whether that was my problem, or not.)
Has anyone else ever had these symptoms? Should I see this lady (my angel) for a follow-up visit? Are there any specialists in this area of medicine? Or, would it be better to go to one of those clinics, or agencies, where there are more ladies to consult with? Should I try to schedule a group consultation with 2 or more practitioners for a better opinion? Does something like this require a prolonged treatment period?
Also, I've seen some of the ladies take MasterCard and Visa, but I was wondering, does anyone take Blue Cross/Blue Shield?
