The problem with Alabama is that it's what they like to call here "the Buckle of the Bible Belt". Religion is so strong compared to other states that there just isn't as much demand.

I would recommend staying in the Inverness/Hoover areas. Stay away from the hotels around the airport. There was a triple murder there several years ago.
