I like the places that are a little less "Mothers day brunch" and a little cooler.  These two are absolutely killer choices.

Comet - loads of great farm to table, and vegan, and regular super indulgent offerings... and it is hip.

Hi y'all!  I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions for really great breakfast / brunch downtown or reasonably nearby?  It's my first time to Milwaukee and I only have one day so I'd love some leads on where to go for Milwaukee's best!  Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.  ;)

Is a good place for breakfast or lunch. It's located in Walkers Point, not too far from downtown and it's menu might appeal to you.

Haven't been there in over a year. But I remember it being a cool place with goo d food. Bummer if it's permanently closed.

I can vouche for cafe centraal, since that place is local in my neighborhood, I eat there alot. Love their food and great selection of beers on tap.
