should be sufficent...posting things that are not true about people and calling them names that they are not could be considered as defamation of character...so be careful

What ever happened to "sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me"?

I can't imagine anyone here approaching the courts, and the courts not falling down laughing their asses off as they escort them out the door.

Do you have an example of what you consider a case where someone defamed someone's character?

I'll not go into the details of how difficult it is to prove a case but will give you a site to read where you can understand it better.

But I will say damages have to be proven. So if someone tells others that a provider has a disease or causes her to lose income. It is the providers responsibility to show evidence that her business was harmed, in detail - LoL...

So I'm sorry if someone here has been hurt by what others have said and that it may have harmed them in this community and cause loss of business. But before throwing money at a lawyer, go read and decide it is really worth the headache and aggravation? They won't take the case based on the award from a suit, at least I don't think so - LoL.

I guess I need to read up on recent posts to find the answer to what is being referred to hear. Anyone care to point the rest of us to the right set of clues.
