Maybe this is just a fluke, but be forewarned, budget your time accordingly, maybe try calling ahead and hoping that whatever they tell you about the day's testing hours is accurate.

I took off from work and went to Whitman-Walker for STD screening. They said I should take the 15-minute HIV test first.  Fine, although I always wear a cover for those penetrating moments. Guy runs his jaw for an hour doing the 15-minute test, then looks at his email and says that the STD testing person just decided to take off a few hours today starting right now, come back another time.  (12:15pm.......)

Also: I had never been to WW before. They hand you a registration sheet that asks for full name, address, last 4 digits of your social security number, email, phone number, etc. They also want you to check off what type of sex acts you have performed, and whether it was P4P.  I simply did not fill in my address, and used an alias name.  No one seemed to give a rat, which is good.

And they are staffed a little better so the longest you have to wait is 20 mins, the time it takes for the OraQuick to result. Heck CVS had the same test on sale, it's only about $35, and you could have stayed at work and done it at your desk and in your car! How convenient! Lol! * just checked CVS.com and it's $39.99...

Best part about stopping into any of the health/ HIV outreach centers in DC is they can continue reporting and help track cases. The funding they get helps with community and to continue the free or reduced services. And NO you do not need to be a DC resident or give your real name, but do keep in mind, if you get an STD panel, they will require a phone number and only call back if something is positive.

And big PLUS, especially for me, they have FC2's for the taking, which you guys luv so much- and they'll let you get as many as you'd like!!! :D

Howard U Hospital does free screening and even has Saturday mornings available. Walk-in, quick form to complete, results back within 15-20min. (no insurance required)

Patient First a walk-in urgent care, also do STD screen (insurance required) You'll have the results back within 3-5 days. Also open on weekends with late hours.

Hope I was able to help :-*
