With so many people suddenly having free time on their hands, I imagine all the ladies will be booked solid.

Uh...it was a joke.  So, uh...lighten up?

Of course they will.  The Fed will order them to.  With the financial impact of the shutdown, especially here, the nation hinges on Trickle Down Economics.

I feel like there is something dirty I could do with "trickle down" but I can't quite figure it out.

Implying that the first thing all federal workers would do with an unexpected day off is hit the speed dial for their favorite booking agent isn't funny?

The will go where the money is. If the shutdown persists many will be gone from the region pretty fast (move out or on tours of other cities).

Lots of businesses are doing that around town, so why not?

Our elected officials are doing us taxpayers for free.
