All this hype and ridiculousness for ..........rain.  Why yes friends, it RAINED in DC yesterday.  Shhhhhh.  Don't tell anyone!  LOL  Good news is with all the hype not too many people were out and about, I think it's the most empty I have seen DC roads.  

Today - It's gorgeous outside!  A slight wind, beautiful sunshine, not too hot!  

For my last afternoon in DC, I took myself to lunch, bought some crazy Vibram FiveFinger shoes, and now I'm ready for the pool then a nap.

I can't think of a better way to end my visit, unless of course YOU have some suggestions?  

at least for us.  However , Ms Irene certainly made her presence known in the coastal areas. Can not believe what she did to NY.
