I'm a born and bred New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn and the Bronx. I've been to games in Seattle, Boston, even Philly, wearing my Yankee's hat and jersey and if they didn't scare me in those stadiums, do you really think O's fans do???? I'm living in Baltimore and have proudly rooted openly for the Yanks. I look forward to the friendly banter during the season Jeop.....

I admit not to be baseball fan. Would rather watch paint dry. But 1 game out the 100++++ they play means little.

By the time I was old enough to root for anyone, the Dodgers were already gone. My Dad always taught me to root for a bad team because it's more fun when they eventually start winning. The Mets were winning in the late sixties and the Yanks were HORRIBLE, so I became a Yankee fan. My Dad grew up around the corner from Ebbets field and could watch the games from his terrace. It should be an interesting season.....

How did the rest of that turn out?

Jeep, I knew we had SOMETHING in common.  I'll bet I'm more of a Yankees HATER than an Oriole fan.  Hasn't been easy to be one of the latter in the past decade.  If only Angelos would WAKE UP and discover that he HAS to get some decent pitching.  At least they have finally realized that Ponson is not the ace (reduced to fourth in the rotation).  Now if they would only get RID of that bum altogether (Ponson, NOT Ponzone, Bigdaddy).  I couldn't believe it when they took him BACK.

Jig, it's hard to believe that the Yankees were EVER horrible.  When I was a kid, they had Whitey Ford, Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Tony Kubek, Goose Gossage, and helluva bunch of OTHERS (the memory of whom I have managed to suppress).  Now, they seem to have all the rest of the big names after Clemens left: Randy Johnson, Jason Giambi, Derek Jeter, A-Rod, ad. nauseum.  Gawd how I hate those guys.  Best team money can buy.

Hey Honk, like the hat.  Wish I still had my Orioles Bird hat.  I left it at one of Lindsay's parties!  Know that sucker is GONE...

I would have to go with the Yankees.. I am die hard Atlanta fan.. Somebody at work bet me the Nationals would finish ahead of the Braves.. No way Jose.. Easy money..

Looks like you just took yourself off of Jeopcon's Christmas gift list.  Guess you're not ALL bad.  At least it looks like you hate the Yankees almost as much as I do.

Boston was one out from elimination last year and they pulled it out. Boston is not as strong as the Yankees..
