What happens to a provider who comes to town and doesn't get the expected calls or doesn't recoup the money spent.  

Most smart providers follow through with their travel plans as long as they have a few appointments booked in advance. Many times this done with regulars.  

guarantee booking an appointment with a provider before she is in town. since she wants to pre book as much as possible.

Some providers do pre-booking before they are going to visit a city.  If by the time it's close to their scheduled visit dates and they don't receive a certain amount of bookings, they would cancel/reschedule their plan.  It always sucks when that happens, especially when the cancellation notice comes in the day before your scheduled appointment day.

After all the thinking and masturbating up to the point of climax then backing off, to get your load up and save it for her, then the cancel notice, THE WORST, LOL...

but for the most part they will drop an unprofitable city very quickly.

You definately give it a second try...if after the second time it sucks--you wipe your slate clean! I personally, just came from Long Island which I love and had cancellations. It sucked, but at the same time I go there pretty often so I won't wipe it off my schedule. It just means my regulars will need to come to Manhattan!!
