Hey y'all!

I am looking for some recommendations for my visit to DC next week. All things art and culture absolutely fascinate and inspire me. Do you know of any happenings not to be missed?

Hope to see you there!

I really enjoy the Phillips Museum near DuPont circle, for the art

You know an art museum that is super slept on? Freer Sackler.

The Phillips Collection is a favorite of mine, though.

Well I am a bit of an art fan & am convinced that the National Gallery of Art is one of the 4 best Art Museums in the US (and yes, I've been to the Louvre & the Uffizi Galleria in Florence), along with the Art Institute of Chicago, the Met & MOMA in NYC.  It is also the home of the only Davinci painting in the Western Hemisphere, along with a great Impressionist collection & American Art.  The Phillips Collection is also great, as is the Reynolds Center of the Smithsonian in Penn Quarter, housing both the American Art Gallery & the National Portrait Gallery.  Lots of great art in DC!

Does that come with you while touring? 🤪🤪🤪

The Freer is one most miss. The only reason I know it exists is having a contract many years ago to renovate it.

All I can say is WOW. That vid was over the top. thanks for sharing and directing link. Will have to watch it again.

Yes that comes with me... it's me after all!

Thanks for the tip :)

I know this thread is old, but wanted to throw in the Renwick Gallery.  They can have some cool exhibits.  We went to see the Burning Man exhibit a little while ago.
