I am looking for some recommendations for my visit to DC next week. All things art and culture absolutely fascinate and inspire me. Do you know of any happenings not to be missed? Hope to see you there! xo E -- Modified on 3/26/2018 4:26:05 PM
Well I am a bit of an art fan & am convinced that the National Gallery of Art is one of the 4 best Art Museums in the US (and yes, I've been to the Louvre & the Uffizi Galleria in Florence), along with the Art Institute of Chicago, the Met & MOMA in NYC. It is also the home of the only Davinci painting in the Western Hemisphere, along with a great Impressionist collection & American Art. The Phillips Collection is also great, as is the Reynolds Center of the Smithsonian in Penn Quarter, housing both the American Art Gallery & the National Portrait Gallery. Lots of great art in DC!
I know this thread is old, but wanted to throw in the Renwick Gallery. They can have some cool exhibits. We went to see the Burning Man exhibit a little while ago.
