Thank you to all that responded to the Mini-Review moderator poll.  There were responses from 20 active members (some via PM) who had anywhere from 5 to 336 reviews, with an average of 40 TER reviews each (57 if you include jeopcon1).  Those are pretty big numbers, and they reflect the seniority of the established members who responded.  I reviewed and summarized all of the poll responses, and also read nearly all of the reviews by those members, along with all past mini-reviews over the past six months.  The initial guidelines set up below are not etched in stone, and may be altered or modified to fit the changing requirements of the board community as needed.

Summary:

Per TER posting guidelines, reviews of any type are not allowed on dicussion boards, because their proper place is in the review database.  However, the use of mini-reviews is warranted by the need and desire of hobbyists to share review information on visiting providers whose local availability may have ended by the time a formal review is submitted and approved. Based on those conditions, mini-reviews are allowed on the discussion board, provided they meet the guidelines below.

Definitions:

Mini-Review - A post that serves as an early information report on a visiting provider who has no or few reviews.  Contains brief, condensed information in a structured format (see below), including Recommendation, Rating, Services, Rates, Location, and Photo.  Use of a structured post title allows all previously written Mini-Reviews to be easily searched.  Mini-Reviews must be followed by submission of a full, formal TER review to the TER review database.

TER Review - A formal TER review that has been written, submitted, and approved by TER Support Staff.

Review Followup - A post that announces that your TER review has been approved and is now visible.  It may contain brief comments (typically two or three sentences), and may include a link to your review.  Linking pictures of the provider is allowed.  Must be posted within 2-3 days of your review being approved.

411 Request - A post that asks for information about a provider, including availability, location, contact info, web site, photos, reviews, or experiences.  Use of a structured post title allows all previously written 411 Requests to be easily searched.

411 Response - A post that supplies information in response to a 411 Request.

Provider Ad -  A post that contains information about new pics, rates, availability, location, contact info, and/or web site or escort mall links.  Only providers may post Provider Ads.

Shill Post - A post that provides (or sometimes asks for) unsoliticed information about a provider.  Sometimes referred to as the 'slip'.  Shill posts are not allowed.

Mini-Review Posting Guidelines:

1. Mini-Reviews may not be posted on local providers, TER reviews or not.  Locals will still be here next week, so no sense of urgency exists on sharing review information.

2. Mini-Reviews may only be posted on visiting providers with 3 or fewer TER Reviews.  If a provider already has 4 or more TER Reviews, a Mini-Reviews is not needed -- look up the existing TER Reviews in the database.

3. Mini-Reviews may only be posted on visiting providers with 4 or more TER Reviews if none of the TER Reviews were posted within the past 3 months.

4. Mini-Reviews may only be posted by established TER members with 5 or more existing TER Reviews.

5. Mini-Reviews must be followed up by a formal TER Review posting within 72 hours.

6. Mini-Reviews may only be posted using your TER reviewer username - aliases may not be used.

7. Only one Mini-Review thread per visiting lady is allowed.  Additional Mini-Reviews by other members may be added to the original Mini-Review post.  To prevent Mini-Review threads from being hijacked, simple comment posts are not allowed.

8. The Subject line of a Mini-Review post should be structured as follows:

Mini - [ProviderName of AgencyName/CityOfOrigin]

examples:
Mini - Wicked Witch of TinMan Companions
Mini - Dorothy of Oz

9. The Message body of the Mini-Review post may only include the following info:

Recommended:  yes/no/ymmv
Rating:  may range from 1/1 to 10/10 (appearance/performance)
GFE:  yes/no/ymmv, or may use the GFE+++ scale
Services:  list acronyms/terms of offered services only
Rates:  rate/time of your encounter
Incall:  yes/no - if yes, list general geographical area
Outcall:  yes/no/unknown
Photos:  accurate/glamour/old/B&S

A link to the provider's current web site or escort mall ad must be included in 'link URL' box.
Providing a photo link in the 'picture URL' box is acceptable and encouraged.
Additional comments are unnecessary and are not allowed.

Mini-Reviews not meeting the format requirements will be removed or modified.
Mini-Reviews must be followed by submission of a full, formal TER review to the TER review database.

Hmm... I'm impressed with the amount of work and effort you put into this post. OK, maybe one of the paid guys did this and you just copied and pasted.

Or, you really enjoy this and don't sleep, spending endless hours working for free – in this case you need help – sorry, I’m not taking the co-mod position.

Or could it be you are trying to impress staff and hoping they will send the checks soon - LOL... Hey, you deserve some form of compensation for your effort – no, I’m not offering.

But what I'm really looking forward to from all this effort is Staff takes the work you've done and put it on the Info and Policies section of this site. I mean what's wrong with that? I’ll bet you staff and the paid guys couldn’t care less in seeing your efforts immortalized by making them permanent on the Info and Policy section – maybe I’m wrong, but don’t bet me – LOL..

Oh, we could always use the search engine when looking for our policy info as defined by all the mods on the boards – sure. I’ll bet there is conflicting information and policy management from personality differences - LOL...

But, I will say is what you provided us on the DC board (and likely the other 5 you moderate) is well written and thought out covering the limited existing language TER has defining board posting rules and policy.

And now what I look forward to is being considered a Shill for Life with the "Sometimes referred to as the "SLIP" statement - Nice one my friend. I hope you told the other 5 boards you mod for the origin…. I want credit where credit due…

Hmmm, I wonder if this will affect my hobbying carrier and ability to interact in the communities being considered the foundation and platform for a new definition of a Shill - the Slip - dang, I think I got you on some ground for a law suite - heck, I'll settle out of court for a beer - that one I owe you from already will do - LOL

Nice work for a volunteer - I think you’re a stand up guy - regardless of what everyone else thinks of you - Ooops - that was a Slip...

3 reviews; 5 reviews -- or is it 5 months? 72 hours -- is that 3 days?

Come on Legal - read them. there are more options and allowances then you might think - but you have to read them and look for the loop holes - LOL... I don't think they are too complicated - I just want them available for countering and problems with the interpretations.

And seeing how you are allowed to post once your review is up, and the fact the reviews are getting approved in less then an hour during the week, what's stopping us from posting under those terms any and all ladies we see be it local or visiting...

Sit and have a coffee with me someday and lets go over this like lawyers - LOL - hey, I stayed in the Holiday Inn at least...

"Mini-Reviews must be followed by submission of a full, formal TER review to the TER review database."

But the purpose of the mini is to use it when we know the full review of the visiting provider will be rejected because her ad (often her only website) will have expired.  Since we know the full review will be rejected, why must we submit one?

Let the board be the board ! Over regulation limits the value.  As far as no mini's on locals..that stinks. I appreciate info on all the ladies..that's why I pay for membership.  If this board was a NFL game a flag would be thrown on every play.  I have expressed my views before...for me  the primary value of this board is to exchange info about the ladies.  Sorry to see the direction that has been chosen. Seems like there are more " deleted by moderator" postings than real discussion.

This is not to defend TER or our new mod - but help in understanding what our mod posted.

I know it's a long read - but if you read it, you might have found a means at which to address the local ladies and visiting ones.

The reviews are being approved within a much shorter time then ever before - mine took less then an hour. Since it was a review of Remi and I posted to her thread there was no reason to do what the Moderator has stated in his post which follows -

"Review Followup - A post that announces that your TER review has been approved and is now visible.  It may contain brief comments (typically two or three sentences), and may include a link to your review.  Linking pictures of the provider is allowed.  Must be posted within 2-3 days of your review being approved."

Wouldn't this work to satisfy your desire to be in the know about local and visiting ladies if people did a review shortly after seeing the ladies? Timing is everyting I know - but if they are able to post a mini - they are able to write a review and wait a few for it to come up then follow the directions given - seems that would take care of those mini's.

Hope this helped. - No - I'm no a Mod...

I really don't think this is very cumbersome. We can still write and discuss a local lady. If we see a visitor we will either link her established reviews if she has them. If not we write a Mini with a website link. It is nice to have clarification.

I for one am displeased with a lot of things TER is doing now compaired to how it was when i first started posting on the all so awesome Atlanta board.

There was discretion and poise from both providers and hobbiest. We understood that this business is touchy and the board is open to both VIP members and non-VIP members.

The abbreviations for many of the described encounters is available to non paying memebers. But you had to pay to see who got the 9s,10,and 2s.

I have never heard of mini reviews until i can to DC. yes, i agree with the need for it if a girl is not known on the board.

but in the good old days, us girls built a good client base at home first. hince the previous reviews. I think you guys are making it too easy for anybody to be a star provider who may not rightfully deserve the credit. On the other hand there are a few girls that were under the radar. A diamond in the ruff (criags list, thats a whole other topic!)

i remember when you didnt know that a guy was a hobbiest. That caused the reviews to be a little more legit. The girl didnt know who he was, so if she offered a bad service or a horrible one, it was on her. And suprise, suprise, you either got a 10 or a 4.  Dont you want the girls to offer a good service without you offering up collateral of a good review? I think the old way kept the good providers on their toes and gave the diamonds in the ruff the drive to be noticed and seen. Pay for an ad, web site, put in a little extra effort.

(another reason for disclosing your TER handle is the white list. Because it is open to the public, i will not place anyone on the white list. I am sorry. I think it is unfair. I think every single guy who posts a review on me gets a chance to be on the list.)

the fact that the board is wide open, craigs list is wide open, etc. makes it harder for the providers that have worked hard to smile, be polite, and kiss all the hobbiest and make it all better. Now it is like a rat race.

Dont misunderstand,  I am not intimidated by any means. I am the turtle in this race. I will sit back and let the craziness fly and the hare run himself tired.

I will pick up the pieces in the end and kiss things and make it all better.

p.s. i am not a craigs list hater but someone who thinks there needs to be control. TER has gotten a little off track because it is bending the rules so CL providers can get reviewes. Send them to "post cityvibe". they have come up with a free advertising that gives the girls a permanent address for review purposes. Lets help these girls evolve.

I've said this in several other post's already. The review processing has been stepped up - what has not been stepped up is those who hold the reviews beyond the date of the eros ad - but many have other sites to use.

So, the time spent on a Mini would be best served and a longer lived record as a full review - time the period of completion to approved - they are much faster.

Can this be a sticky post somewhere? You know where it is always at the top or link. (Get your minds of the gutter guys when I said sticky). ;P

I think that the guidelines are fair. Number 5 might be rough because it takes time to write a review (sometimes too busy), but it is fine. Number 9 may have too much information as VIP should only have access to that, but I have been guility of providing that much info in a mini.

EROS usually keep the ad for 2 day or so before they remove it. I guess that is why there is the mini rule #5.

If the ad is expired, try and find her website or the next city she is going to link that ad. I have done that before.
