I thinks it's legit when a visiting hobbyist uses it to identify providers in close proximity - as locals, we know that the difference between a Tyson's incall and a DuPont, Springfield, or crystal city incall could mean 60-90 minutes in a cab; but visitors do not (and neither do I when I am on the road) - so it's helpful to post an ISO for someone close to your hotel - ie in walking distance or just a short cab ride away. Give those guys a break.
Yes, many of them are lazy but no point sweating over little things like this. Similarly, plenty of newbies constantly post 411 on some BP/eros girls that you know are TGTBT without even doing any research. Most of the times, I just ignore the posts. But sometimes when I am in a good mood, I will do some research for them like I found Skylar/Peyton was bad news today.
The guys who answer these posts are fulfilling some of their purposes in life: to be rude, mean, sarcastic, and the purveyors of all that is right on TER.
I try to help when I can and have learned from and used ISO posts. But where would we be without the board police keeping us on the straight and narrow? After all some of us are not toeing the line and need to be brought up to their high standards. And don't think for one minute that they will allow us, the little people, to make this board a fun and relaxed place to communicate!
I believe many people do ISO searches to increase their chances of actually seeing someone. Yeah sure they can run a search on their own, but how many girls actually reply?
This way, if a girl responds to an ISO search, the guy may actually be able to visit with the type of woman he's interested in seeing... My 2 cents *
was to encourage people to take "personal responsibility" of their hobbying.
Indeed, if the situation is unusual or if the request is unusual ISO is a good way to handle it.. But most of the requests are so mundane, that a simple search gives them the answer.. It shows responsibility on the hobbyists' part. It shows the desire to own your own decisions. When I started hobbying in a very small town in PA, there was NO TER. Back when I first came across TER, I was just happy to be able to find providers and hobbyists.. Back then we didn't have much, but we made the best use of whatever had at our disposal.
So right. Pretty funny the self-importance some folks have. This site is VERY helpful for newbies getting started (like me back in Jan), but some folks..., well you'd think getting F'd by beautiful women would make them a little more chill, but alas, that obviously isn't the case...

What about taking responsibility for reducing the number of posts whining about things just because you don't happen to agree with them? For me the judgmental, complaining, whining, and sniveling responses to the ISO posts are far more irritating than the ISO's. Maybe we could try something different like "live and let live"?
