You are a true gentleman, and have always been more than helpful to me as a mentor in this great hobby.

In a hobby that has many bad apples, it says a lot about you to make a post like this. Its great to see there are still gentlemen, something I pride myself on being.

Ive yet to read the review in question, but I wish you luck, as always!

lady based on a review of mine.

I believe I need to correct a wrong that I inadvertently inflicted
on a young lady at PureGirlfriends.  In a review I wrote regarding Madison, I unfortunately made an unwise word selection, a choice resulting in misunderstanding and an emotional wound. Words can inflict pain and adversely affect reputations, and they obviously did in this case. She was understandably offended, because those who read the review could likely conclude that she is perhaps a “bimbo”: an attractive but empty-headed young woman.  That term definitely does not apply to her, and it was never my intent to imply such.  On the contrary, she is a serious student, a very bright young lady, someone pursuing a difficult course of study at a highly respected university.

When I reread the narrative section of the review, I found the section that I think was being referenced by one of my critics who said I depicted her as a “bimbo”: “But the fact is, we seemed to connect only in a very superficial way—there was no real substance below the surface.”  That comment referred to what I perceived as the lack of fire on her part—i.e., passion, emotional bond, and not anything more than that; this comment definitely was not intended as a reference to an empty-headed “bimbo.”  Also, that was only an opinion, perhaps a poorly formed one, nothing more; it clearly was not an objective evaluation of what she may have been experiencing in the depth of her being.

In addition, and perhaps more of minor matter, is the performance evaluation. I evaluated the performance as a 6, a “nice time.”  Reviewing again in my mind the totality of the experience, I could have--perhaps should have--been more magnanimous, making that evaluation no less than an 8, “went the extra mile.”  That day, she literally did go the “extra mile,” making a special trip to accommodate me on her day off, since she was not scheduled to work on Saturday.  She interrupted her schedule as a favor to Sara…so ultimately for me.  She did not have to be there that day—perhaps the cynics do get it right: “No good deed goes unpunished.”

This post, hopefully, may help assuage at least some of personal hurt that has been suffered and hopefully may correct at least some of the damage that may have been done to a good reputation, one that is supported by her other reviews on TER by folks with less niggardly propensities.  All I can say is “mea culpa”!  Will definitely try to be more careful in the future and apologize for any pain inflicted.

I tend to think first impressions are better for deciding a rating. Madi has plenty of decent/good reviews and I doubt yours will have that much impact all by itself. Thinking about it too much just makes you crazy. And FWIW, a 6 is not a bad rating, IMO, just not good with all the inflation we're experiencing.

Personally, this sounds like a bit of post-review sour grapes by someone other than your fellow hobbyists. I find it implausible that hobbyists contacted you to complain of your characterization of Madison, desoite the depth of certain WKs around here.

I do find it interesting that you state there was no fire but you state she had two Os (assuming we ALL believe that ALL Os in this business are real - LMAO). I don't know if the review currently posted is te original, but I see nothing there to make me think she's a bimbo.

I would characterize my experiences with PGF as mixed at best, but certainly nothing to prevent me from checking out Madison, or other ladies.

“But the fact is, we seemed to connect only in a very superficial way—there was no real substance below the surface.”
When I read that line, I assumed it was limited to describing the type of connection you felt (or didn't feel) with Madison.  Then again, I've met her and seen that she appears to be an  intelligent and very capable young lady, so there was no possibility that I could misinterpret your line as a description of Madison herself.  That said, I think her reviews speak for themselves, and as always, should be taking in totality.

...but I learned that she thought she was characterized as a "bimbo," which was definitely not intended.  Regardless of my intentions, an emotional wound was, unfortunately, inflicted.
