A couple other items you may find useful. I have heard there are less flakes & NCNS etal. in Tysons Corner than DC. But, the Tysons Corner area can be pretty slow on weekends..
Crystal City may be another option to consider because of the availablity to METRO and being very close to DC in Arlington and next to Regan Airport.. I have heard, though dont know any to speak of, its a very attractive option for government workers at lunch...lol..
Just few more items to confuse you..
I would love to know from the gents what is the difference between these 2 areas so that I can decide which area to go to.
Any advise would be helpful. Feel free to Pm or email me if you don't want it publicly on the board. Ladies you are welcome to chime in too, if you desire.

Thank you soo much in advance.
Now due to gentrification Dupont Circle has become just as bland and homogeneous as the northern Virginia suburbs.
R.I.P. to the fun DC.

Easy to walk in the Dupont area . Dupont is in an historic area , nice Hotels and walking distance to multitudes of activities .
Tysons Corner is mall and Condo ville, thirty minutes from Dupont Circle . Cab or auto required .

This guy is right, however, business wise it's great daytime bc so many businesses are over there you'd get a decent client base going esp around lunch time. There are a lot of great guys out there with important jobs or at least steady ones and due to heavy commerce of the area, likewise the residences can get somewhat pricey... It can be easy to find some generous gentlemen in Tyson's/McLean but BE CAREFUL! The area has had it's dangerous moments by way of sting operations. No one needs to get lured into any traps. Mind your p's & q's and Tyson's could be very good. Also if you make great $ there's excellent shopping around (my problem) & the dining is exquisite. DuPont area is very easy to get around on foot, has tons of commerce and obviously is busy due to a plethora of jobs in DC... Obviously tons of people, some of very good quality ie: people with important jobs who like to have fun but not be troublesome. I've had very positive experiences in both. My advice, DC is busiest at the beginning of the week, Tyson's might be best wed through Friday? Am I right guys? Long winded answer. GL!
Great response . If you wanted to split your time between 2 locations Dupont /Tysons is the way to go.
But they are different type of areas. I supect shopping will be on the agenda. There are 2 very good malls in Tysons that most hotels will shuttle you to. I suspect a good meal and a couple drinks and some sightseeing might also be in the plans. Dupont is a perfect location for that kind of fun. Both are pretty safe and client friendly.
DuPont apeals to guys in DC, or near the metro. No need to drive or park. Tends to attract a larget share of visitors.
Tysons is out of the downtown area. Easier to drive to for many, especially those in NoVa, but is not on the metro so requires a car. Tends to attract a larger share of locals.
Either will make some guys happy, and will strike you off some guys lists.

There are plenty of parking at Tysons so I don't think not having Metro is a problem. Because of parking problems, I tend not to go to Dupont unless the lady is very hot. I love to go to Tysons.
Yeah, Me too...DC is as pain to get to and park at for a lot of guys..Tysons is so close to me Im spoiled..
Just to balance these out, I pretty much only see ladies in Dupont/ Downtown. Easy cab ride over, easy cab ride back, unless it's the occasional visit to one of the Asian spots. My hobbying surrounds my work, not my home. Disappointing sometimes because several of the good agencies never send girls to Dupont.
As it's a nightmare to drive in and out of with all the construction. The comment about minding your p's and q's is dead on, if you keeps your eyes open it's fine but to me not worth the risk or hassle anymore save for those unique situations.
I've said it a hundred times over when this question is asked - the Tyson's guys will say stay in Tyson's as they don't like the Metro and insist on driving (the debate has even raged into the "Metro isn't safe at night" area at times). The DC guys will say Dupont/DC is the best spot as they generally don't have cars or dislike the awful drive that can at times turn a 30 minute journey into the burbs to a 2 hour experience in frustration. The answer is one that has been pointed out, and has been debated to death on these boards - stay in both.
The suggestions of Crystal City are spot on and I'm always amazed when I talk to a provider who has just "found" Crystal City and get a chuckle...at least 8 govt contract firms with hundreds of horny men, access to the Metro as well as parking in abundance and your pick of any number of hotels from 2 star to 5 star (yes there is a Ritz at Pentagon City for those that will question my suggestion).
And regarding the agency comment above I absolutely agree....it's only on the weekends that I'll make that drive to Tyson's and then it's for someone that I know I won't have a chance to see again for months.
i found dupont to be VERY expensive & mostly day time clientele.
My favorite spots have been Alexandria & Tysons (FairFax area).
But agree with Mocha - pretty slow weekends.
just my .02 hope it helps my fellow Floridian! ![]()
All of your ideas were carefully reviewed and opinions taken. It appears this time will be Crystal City and Tyson's...Dupont (for now) is just wayy too expensive.
Thank you again...You are all the bomb!!
