Heyyy! Real important stuff here…If passing through Tyson’s, what’s your favourite places to go and eat, catch a cocktail? Craving a really good margarita!

I can tell you about many of the hotels in Tyson's and vicinity but aside from that I don't spend much time there!

I live in DC, but I occasionally get out to Tyson’s. The dining and cocktail options in Tyson’s nowhere near DC. You basically are limited to chain restaurants in Tyson’s (albeit a few chain steakhouses like the Palms and Cap Grille), I really can’t distinguish between them. But for cocktails I would recommend Founding Farmers restaurant, they have a good program.

Tyson's is basically suburbs, as are the areas around it so it's different than most urban areas. What seems to be true though is that the two main malls there -- Tyson's 1 and Galleria -- function a bit as city center type locations and both have a large number of restaurants which are far from being pure dives or overly "chainish" (though are chains). Most have fill bars and most will be able to make a decent margarita.

Another place to try would be the Mosaic District area in Dunn Loreing/Merrifield area. It's near a metro stop but Uber would be a short trip from Tysons.

Both those options will give you a greater concentration of places to look into rather than having to go to a specific location that may or may not be what you expected from a recommendation (lots of subjectivity in what are good places to eat/drink).

Downtown DC club (Lima Restaurant & Lounge) owner Masoud A moved out to Virginia and opened a really nice restaurant/club. Live music many nights, switches over to club atmosphere from 10PM-2AM.

Right on Leesburg Pike south end an excellent Thai restaurant https://www.neisha.net/. For really upscale Italian dinning in nearby Vienna top notch DC chef, Roberto Donna has relocated to Virginia suburbs https://www.robertosva.com/ Also in Vienna Jon Krinn's establishment Clarity https://www.clarityvienna.com/ The latter two might be best for cocktails.

I like Coastal Flats or Founding Farmers.  Not sure about the Margaritas as not my drink of choice.

I agree, the Mosaic District is a great place to go for drinks and food. I especially like a place called B Side, in addition to drinks and food, they play great music (music is why it’s called the B Side). Enjoy!

I’m a fan of bushel and barrel at Tysons. Has nice outdoor seating as well.
