Anyone else notice some of the Tysons area hotels have moved to paid parking now? The fee is negligible in scheme of hobby costs but trying to avoid cc paper trail. I tried a prepaid card a few months ago without any success.

One time a few years ago I went to incall in DC. The garage closed before my appointment was over. Luckily I was able to find a security guard to open up the parking lot, that is not always the case. I got back in time for a 2:00 am conference call with my manager from work lol.

With Tysons, it's often possible to find nearby parking for free. I might have a 3 minute walk to the hotel, but no big deal. I also do not care to make any hotel parking payments by cc.

I just got caught up in that in Tysons yesterday. The poor provider did not realize the hotel had implemented gated parking since the last time she used it. And because she took a cab to the hotel she was unaware of it till I asked her about the gates. The really bad thing for me was that the gate credit card readers were not working. You had to either have a room key or go to the front desk and pay to get out. And the bad part is they are curious why you in in the hotel if you are not a guest or visiting a guest. Lucky for me the concierge and I got along well and was not busy so he used his card to let me out.
