Not to be missed wine bars near Dupont?

I tend to lean towards a contemporary scene as opposed to classical, and would love to find a spot or two with a great list by the glass.  Seeking 411?

Two recommendations

Iron Gate is not to be slept upon. They have a phenomenal wine selection courtesy of a gifted wine director (Brent Kroll, a sommelier who has curated many wonderful wine lists at restaurants across the city)  

Urbana also has a wonderful selection and a great menu.

Some other spots to check out if you're willing to leave the DuPont area:

- Bar au Vin near the Ritz in Georgetown
-Dio in the Atlas district
-Proof near the convention center - has 40 wines by the glass
