The sooner jerks like this are identified and weeded out the better. DC used to be one of the premier destinations for providers. This kind of stunts will ruin our standing to say the least if it hasnt already.
It's in everyones' best interest to do what we can to stop this abuse of what clearly are the rules everyone plays by.

Seems like you are jumping on the bandwagon about a subject that has been discussed here just recently.  And the fact that you are using an alias to taint DC as a bad place to visit makes me wonder about your motive.
You would be more believable if you revealed your identity.
And also, 6 last minute cancellations and 3 NCNS in the short time of your stay is VERY unbelievable to me.  That many broken appointments seems fictional unless your stay was several weeks.

So how does it matter how long she stayed, how long the appointments were for, or anything else....unless you're just trying to 'count her money' and figure out if she still made money.

There are a lot of providers under cutting other providers with massive price cuts. I am hearing that business is bad every where.

You should create a reserve back up list of guys who are pre-verified that you can call on a for an available opening.

I no longer book appointments way in advance due to the nature of my situation at home and at work. If I can sneak out I book at the last moment with 1 hour notice.

I am going to make a guess that a new provider came into the area and the guys who canceled on you picked her.

I think she is a highly reviewed provider. You can get a rough estimate of her rate. I know 3 other hobby friends. The 4 of us could splurge at the list minute to make up for at least 4 out the 5 1 hour appointments she missed. It just takes a few to help her recover her losses.

I wonder if she was in one those places in Northern Virginia where the traffic is bad ? I know that I don't book in Tyson's anymore because of bad traffic. I use to only go over there on Sunday early afternoon or evenings but not anymore because the traffic is bad. It not just bad during the week but on weekends also because all the construction.

Recommendation to other areas if you only stayed at one location. Places include Rosslyn, Dupont Circle, Crystal City, etc.

Dont konw if this will work for many but Tysons traffic weekdays between ..say 10AM & 4PM is very tolerable.

Really no worse than anywhere else around here.

So let me ask you this. How long did you stay in DC? My guess would be 5 days? Based on how much you spent and average price of room in DC.

Also, do you mind sharing how many appointments you had. You had 9 hobbyists who bailed out on the appointment. How many hours is that? Is that 9 hours of time wasted or did any of them book multiple hours? What percentage is that out of the total hours you had scheduled?

I am not trying to be invasive or smart-ass here. But you definitely seem to be upset, and rightly so. Just trying to get the perspective if what happened to you was typical or atypical in the hobbying world.

I hate to hear this.  I can't stand arrogance and disrespect, unfortunately this area has plenty of both.  Is there a way to "report" these guys who cancelled or no showed to your colleagues?  Lord knows the provider world is scrutinized to the nth degree.  How about the guys?  It's a shame that those of us who are conscientious and respectful have to suffer for the idiots out there.

If you just want to vent...sure...by all means go ahead. I thought you were interested in getting to the root of the problem. I was just helping you out.

It does matter because every provider has cancellations. Knowing what percentage of people cancelled on you will help you analyze if it was typical or atypical. Also comparing it with data from other ladies (visiting vs local) will give a better perspective.  To put it in more technical terms, was it within the margin or error or not is very important.

As a good business practice, number of cancellations should always be factored in one's schedule. It's cost of doing business.

yeesh, isnt that a little harsh (for the cancellations at least)? I'm new to the hobby, and no, I wasn't one of the cancellations) but outting or blacklisting?  it would take a LOT for me to cancel an appointment, but I can certainly conceive of a few situations that warrant it.

screen him and then ... when he is ready to come over call you couple of hours in advance ! and is always a risk of not making the $$$ you expect but the more often you come over the better it gets

Or she can cut down on her losses by staying at hotel in the Suburbs thus reducing her fixed cost. I don't know where she stayed, but @ 250 per day, sounds like a hotel in downtown DC.

It is unfortnate that this happened to you but providers are not innocent in this area either.  There are some who don't return emails, lie about their appearance, bait & switch and NCNS.  As unfortunate as this is, it is the nature of the hobby.  So write off DC and go elsewhere.  There will be 10 providers to replace you, just as there will be 100 clients to replace the one's who cancelled on you.

Good point!  There was a lady on my radar recently that posted she was going to be in Tyson's which is doable for me because I work in the I95 corridor from Richmond to Tyson's.  She changed her plans and went to Dupont Circle so there was no need in me contacting her because I wouldn't be able to get through traffic to see her.  Damn shame too cause' she was a smokin' blonde with great refs!

...when I tour, I always stay in a suite.  I will be touring in a few weeks, and my hotel bill alone for two nights is 1K.  Gentlemen not only "gift" for the experience, but they gift for a comfortable experience.  This number does not include my flight and car service.

I think she already said what you repeated and it's rare for girls to have that kind of bad luck in one trip.  Guys even some of our illustrious TER guys window shop and cancel for what's next or simply don't show....is what it is.  And 100 to replace the each guy who cancelled on her HAHAHA oh please.  Since i'm a provider and know a lot more about that  i'll tell you sir if that were true NONE OF US would EVER have a bad or slow day EVER.....NEVER EVER............EVER.

Have you considered having a pre-certified backup list of guys that you can call with 1 hour notice or at the last minute ?

She is not the only one that has had the problem. She is using an alias to protect her identity. Multiple back channels have confirmed this happened with various providers.

Another hot looking provider came in town and guys decided to see the other provider instead of her. They were not man enough to tell the real reason to cancel.

Some of us when book an appointment we will keep the appointment or make up if we have to cancel.

Getting back to the traffic situation in our region. It has gotten so bad that I have had to take vacation days to hobby. Sometimes I will travel and get a hotel near a providers incall just so I can see her because she is so hot.

Sounds more like a bunch of Democrats that would like nothing more then to have TER give them review credit where none was due while refusing any accountability for the last minute cancels and NCNS.

That the OP has an obligation to submit more information. This is an Internet message board, she does not have an obligation to share more than she likes. You can believe the story, or not.

And then there are those who suggest that she lies. It is always good to be skeptical, but without convincing evidence, perhaps it is best to keep it to yourself. Openly accusing someone of lying without evidence is not cool.

I am sure that after reading my post you are smart enough to realize that my base point was that there plenty of providers and plenty of customers out there, so move on and get over it.  She's not going to miss us and we are not going to miss her, just the way it is.  The "10 vs 100" was simply just to make my point and was not based on any statistical analysis.

Suggestions:  1) Use travelocity, expedia or the site of your choice for best rate.  Then call the hotel directly and ask them to match on-line price.  Discount sites are often non-refundable.  Hotels will generally refund 24 hrs prior.  2) Screen carefully!  I contact thier references personally and ask for reassurance that Gent shows up on time with proper envelope, etc.  I also require a certain # of confirmed appts before checking in.
