PayPal will cancel your account and keep your money if it's for this
Not trying to be argumentative but I have a hard time believing that it is even possible. Is there actually any precedent that this indeed has happened? They can most certainly cancel your account but keeping your money, I don't think it's remotely possible.
#1, How can PayPal know it is for an escort service?
#2, Even if PayPal knows it is for an "escort" service, which means money exchange for a provider's time. There is no way PayPal can prove that anything illegal has taken place behind closed door. It's not like PayPal conducts stings like LE.
#3, Even if PayPal can prove that illegal activities has taken place, they can LE on you but they still cannot keep your money as their own. It's not their money to keep, period.
#4, Instead,it would make sense to say that when you are convicted, then the GOV'T will take your money out from PayPal and confiscate it. Like, if I am convicted for dealing drugs, the gov't will seize and confiscate my money and assets but NOT my bank - My bank can't keep the money. They have to give it up to the gov't.
I'm not sure who gets the money, but once the account is closed you can't access the money that is in the account. i.e. your password won't work and you can't get the money out.

So with technology as advanced as it is today why not have providers accepting credit cards via PayPal? You could make a ton of money accepting other forms of payment other than cash. Everyone has a smartphone these days and with the new tool they have that can hook up to ones phone and swipe on the spot why not? Just an idea that I had. I know I'd spend more money if this option was available personally.

Where do I start...?
1) Paypal when they find out you are an escort, they will shut down your account and confiscate any funds you have in system and NOT give it back.
2) 98% of all new credit card vendor account contracts specifically disallow escorts, escort service /Agencies and other sexual services et al.
3) Lying to get an account, under a different business name or SIC code other than what you are actually using it for, is under Federal Law money laundering which then leads to RICO. They are using this against our industry rather successfully.
4) Under some of the changes rolled into the National Defense act 2012 some of the money handling as you have suggested my flag as "suspicious money laundering activity indicative of terrorist funding". At which point they can, (in some cases) without a signed FISA warrant from a Federal judge, initiate electronic monitoring of all your electronic activities.
.... and that's just for starters...

My 1st thought was - "electronic records to be used as evidence in court". "Bad thing".
My 2nd thought was - "I would have been silly enough to ask this question a year ago, so I can't really afford to get too facetious".
There is an upside to questions like this. and that when even those of us whom have been around a while get the benefit of Lee's comprehensive knowledge. He could have easily stopped after 1, 2, 3,4 even 5 bullet points. But NOOOOO, and the result is truly a wonderful thing, we all learn something.

Sounded like a good idea to me, until the TER paralegal team stepped in lol- I remember reading last year, that they were trying to find a way to restrict gift card transactions, too? I guess that's why some of those prepaid cards require verification info, prior to activation?
...once I have visited with a gentlemen a few times.
Accepting credit cards comes in handy, when a gentleman wants to extend a date, but does not have cash on hand. All my accounts are business accounts, with business sounding names.
Credit cards also work well when accepting deposits.
