Thanks for the information, as sad as it is. I only met the gentleman a couple of times, but, like Yoko, we knew some of the same ladies and I only heard good things about him. Condolences to those who were closer to him than I.
I, like you, didn't have any love lost for Baconbits but as I told you in my email, I hate to see someone pass.
I still believe he had quite a bit to do with me being banned for life from that other board. I would hardly say they are competeing with this one however. They have maybe 10-12 regular participants left.
Not to trample on the dead, but I think Bacon was a coniving manipulator and a racist.
As a long time lurker I've noticed many aliases here that have stood out over the last 10 years and baconracer was certainly one of them. For all the other lurkers out there I say thanks for the contributions and drama. Life isn't always so black and white and its cool to see a lil bit of drama every now and then on these boards. I for one will pour one out for a hommie tonight.
.....but we had exchanged personal e-mails through the years. We discussed everthing from politics, to religion, hobbying, world events, our mothers, etc.
I knew that he had been ill, and had not heard from him in about a month. I will miss his mail in my inbox. RIP Bacon.
I might have met him but I can't remember. In an case, I don't know the real him.
In my experience in dealing with on-line personae, you can't judge a person by the posts he submits. Perhaps they are straight talkers; perhaps they are contrarians. One needs to meet the person in person before making judgment.
On the other hand, there are posters who seem to be polite but when you disagree with them, they go berserk.
And there are white knighters who in private conversation talk about the ladies with vulgarities.
The DC hobby scene lost someone this past weekend when a hobbyist known as "baconracer" passed away.
I heard of Bacon's passing a few days ago on that other board. I had heard that he was ill, which accounted for his recent absence. Although we have never met in person, we've back-channeled several times, and he was always friendly and helpful. We seemed to have similar tastes in the ladies, in fact, I would occasionally check his recent reviews to see if there was any new lady that I might want to see. I know there were a number of ladies that he genuinely cared for that will miss him.
My condolences to his family and friends, both inside and outside this "hobby". RIP.
Your post reeks of anger and hate. "Not to trample on the dead, but I will...."
No one can tell you not to feel that way, but this post is neither the time nor the place. Most folks know enough when to keep their mouth shut—you obviously don’t. The biggest difference between that board and this one is there are more people on here to mock your rudeness.
who would come into the "other board" chat room (when it actually had participants) cloaked or invisible and then go back and rat people out to providers with what he saw them post in the chat? Whne he becamse a chat room moderator this activity by him was rampant.
He also engaged in "pillow talk" with confidential information given to him in trust about other board members in order to advance his own reputation with the ladies. Something of a stealth white knight I guess? Christ, he even ratted out fellow VIP's of all people!
Im sorry the guy is dead but like I said I'm not going to sugar coat calling a spade a spade just because he's deceased.

Oh well, wont hurt me to say RIP Bacon.
Geez! Really..?. Kind of cold and could of really been kept to yourself. The desire was that strong you had to post this?
