It is not like he did not call and give you notice..Granted it was 5 minutes but I have had ladies(especially the ones with kids) call me last minute because of something came up..Yeah I was pissed off but I did not go all over the boards blasting them..

Cancellations are part of the business..If you Blacklist him guys are going to have second thoughts about seeing you..

Providers are blasted all the time ON THIS BOARD and/or GD for last minute ncns's and playing games OR MAYBE having an legitimate excuse and last minute cancelling. And yes there are SOMETIMES blacklisting is deserved. MANY guys window shop TER members and not and cancel for someone else often....... time is money and in this case more so hers than his and she lost who knows how much with him cancelling practically before he was about to come to her door.  Life happens but so does a whole lot of utter BULLS*HIT.

DC gentlemen in general are getting a bad reputation due to an overabundance of guys who are incapable of making a schedule and keeping it. it has an adverse economic impact on supply and the way the market fixes the price of companionship time.

i thank MissApril for providing the opportunity to raise the issue here.

All morning he's having gastric problems.  He can cancel early, but if his stomach recovers in time to have made the appointment, he misses out.  If he waits until the last minute to see if it gets better then cancels if it doesn't, she's the one who misses out.  Well, her AND the other two guys who could've had that time instead.

People who choose to inconvenience others over inconveniencing themselves are assholes.  You see them all the time on the streets, blocking a lane of traffic with their blinker on because they missed their turn.

If you think you might not be able to make an appointment, you should either cancel or let the girl know and offer her the option of trying to re-book your timeslot.

So, yeah, blacklist him.

Well I can think of some reasons for canceling an appointment.  "Gastric problems" WOULD be one of them.  Not ten minutes before you are about to go up.  It is totally understandable that she refuse to see him again.

Sorry you got the short end of the stick, unfortunately it happens but this goes both ways. I've been in the parking lot and had my appointment canceled. I’ve even been sent to the wrong place! Let me tell you that was a once in a life time experience for me and the lady in the room.
The bottom line is it happens. We can all talk about how bad it is and throw stones both directions but it’s not going to change anything. I don’t think its intentional most of the time and regardless of what side you’re on it costs all of us time and money. The ladies lose other opportunities and the same for the clients.
Personally, I think it’s best to let it go and move on. Do you really want to waste energy fighting the windmill? Just my .02.

one hour? two? three?

one hour still would not have been enough time for her to fill the slot.

Maybe the provider should state her preferred lead time for a cancellation.

so WHAT? it isn't really relevant to this incident or at least SHOULDN'T be.

. _everybody_ has _some_ kind of history. IF you are suggesting that this guy was justified in standing her up because of some history of hers.... that is really distasteful vigilantism.

if _she_ has some sort of history the proper way of dealing with that is on the board not engaging in setting up an appointment that he has no intention of keeping in order to sabotage her business.

if that sounds like a conspiracy theory... well... your alias suggests it.

I hope on these blacklist boards it says why you are listing someone. We all agree this is not good, but we've all been cancelled on last minute, women and men. To blacklist someone for it seems dramatic. I always looks at that as highlighting guys who are a potential threat. I don't mind that you get the info ou there, but not in a way that would make him look like a physical threat. Just my opinion.

Is blacklisting him the necessary course of action?

It seems kind of severe to do something like that especially if one does not know what the "truth" really is.

I've had Gastric Problems before and Sometimes it clears up by the end of the day and sometimes you feel better than it comes back so its possible something like this could have happened.
We can not really know.

And unfortunately, the Provider will never know what the "truth" really is.

So the hobbyist has to be Innocent until proven guilty.

Judging from what you said earlier with the phone lady, it seems like he will feel backlash from this anyway so that only may be punishment.

It's a business, an intimate one at that.  As Don Corleone would say "Don't let anyone outside the family know what your thinking."
You're going to make your own decision as to the appropriate course of action you want to take.  Why ask us for our opinion?  Some of us are going to say "don't do this", and some of us are going to say "do this"- but in the end your going to make your own decision.
So what I really think you were trying to do was vent.  Mission accomplished.

Now can we get back to the hobby?

Blacklisting is not meant just for the physically violent or potentially violent/dangerous.  I'm not saying her blacklist this guy but in general and it's not dramatic if a guy is CLEARLY playing games .... ncns isn't a physical threat but it is/can be all the same at least to finances.

Your post on another board EROS and Here all say you arrive June 30 Why are you posting about a cancelation on this board when you are not here? Very Strange.

Let's assume for the moment he was telling the truth. We need to remember the apparent reason for cancelling, the guy had gastric problems. Perhaps he was hoping they would go away. If you've ever had such problems, you know they come and go. It is not that cut and dried.

People have valid reasons for changing plans and this is one doozy that is almost entirely out of an individual's control. Asking for 24 hour notice is unreasonable in this particular case. In fact, asking even for one hour's notice may not be reasonable. Again remember the reason.

Blacklisting seems quite harsh. White lists and black lists were created to give providers a sense of security about people. If someone routinely is a no show, refuses to pay, or is dangerous, this compromises provider security. This is what Black lists are for. And white lists are for people who do not do such things routinely. They are NOT guarantees of performance, just like provider reviews are not guarantees of provider performance. Both have off days, and providers as professional service providers must understand this. It is a part of the business and nothing more.

While it is unfortunate that such things happen in the real world, the fact is that they do. And as another earlier poster queried: Does the punishement fit the crime? I think not.

I guess one more post wouldn't hurt.

Cancellations happen all the the time in this business and I'm not even sure you can blacklist someone for cancellation unless he is a habitual offender. Anyway, I would think that posting here could hurt your business.

I can't believe you think it's ok for a person to keep an appointment open on a day they're having such problems.  Better to risk screwing someone else out of hundreds of dollars than to risk not getting laid that day, huh?
