was just stood up by an agency, a reputable one at that, and I did not like it. Early this morning I noticed an email about Gwen, a new model at JennifersModels. I texted and made an appointment for 10:30. After some confusion I rearranged the appointment for 11AM. I was anxious to meet as she is in a hotel very close to my home in Alexandria.
I arrived early at the hotel at about 10:40 and texted that I could wait. At about 10:55 I texted for the room number. No reply. I then texted several additional times, though I feared that I was being rude. That Jennifers does not accept phone calls sometimes makes communication difficult.
At about 11:05 I texted asking if Gwen was here or ready, and the reply was “Yes.” I had assumed that maybe she had not yet arrived. I then asked if she was ok, assuming she might be sick. No reply. At 11:25, I asked WHAT IS HAPPENING and the reply was that she was not answering her phone. I left at 11:45 without another response from the agency. As of 12:30 my only response from the agency was the two short text responses.
LADIES, things happen, but PLEASE keep the client fully informed about what is happening. I had completely inadequate response from the agency. I feel like a disposable client. “Oh well, that one did not work out, so let’s go to the next one.” It's NOT ALRIGHT to NOT SHOW up without some explanation.
I do not mind what happened. I MIND that the agency gave me virtually no information, keeping me completely in the dark. I still do not know what happened to Gwen!
I wonder if I will get blacklisted for writing this. We’ll see
