The 1/3 rule is what most providers have told me when the topic comes up. the exageration is sometimes the guy's ego, sometimes an attempt to flatter she if he plans of seeing her again.
I look for some reviewers I trust and I look for the pattern of reviews on a provider.
As to looks, that's very subjective but most providers i see ARE in the 7-9 area. Most 1-5 women wouldn't get much business as an escort.
I posted a message a couple of weeks ago indicating that I was coming to DC on Jan. 25-28 and seeking a provider skilled at bbbjtc and submissive roleplaying. I got no responses (I'm still interested if anyone has suggestions.), so I began emailing some providers based their TER reviews. One of them responded saying, "I am sorry but I am very careful with what I do and some people have wrote reviews on me that are not true. My French is with a translator, I have never done without and I have tried to get those reviews taken off."
I'm curious to know if others have had similar experiences with providers saying their reviews are not accurate.
but, in my experience, the information is sometimes incorrect.
But you should pay special attention to any that may have lower ratings. They can be a good indication of whether YMMV is an important factor in a particular case. If most reviewers agree on certain basics, you'll get a reasonable notion of what you might expect. The emphasis should still be on MIGHT, however. This is a very personal business, and none of us should take anything for granted.
Oh, and on your question about responses to your posts? That's quite normal. If the ladies you're hoping to hear from have no idea who or what you are, why take any risk?
the thing that I have noticed the most is there are lots of 8,9,& 10's given in the looks department. maybe I need glasses!
Sadly, numerical rating inflation is a fixture on this and other boards and is quite unlikely to change. I don't put much stock in those measurements -- finding descriptive comments to be more informative, if also prone to some exaggeration and errors themselves. There are no guarantees.

Ive spoken with several providers on the subject. They all said the same thing. Some are accurate and some are complete fiction. One girl said the ratio of her review accuracy was about 1/3 accurate, 1/3 enhanced and 1/3 pure unadulterated(pun just lucky) bulls... . Others said this was about right.
It is not a good idea to put great faith in reviews no matter how good they look and a few marginal ones add a dose of reality, and, no doubt truth to the picture.
As to why this happens? Well my thought is we are guys and ego has been known to be an issue for some. Secoundly, for the voyeurs out there, there is that ever popular VIP status to be gained with a new review, and the "juicy details". Thirdly, there is the often mentioned self postings done by the provider or by allies on her behalf.
To be sure TER is a huge help but it is not infallible and mistakes happen. Your best bet is use your best judgement, do your research and your bad surprizes will be minimal or avoided altogether. Happy New Year to everyone! Sswede

That's about the only way to get some idea of accuracy. But I doubt this would ever be done by TER.
It's been discussed before. Of course there is going to be fake ones and others that are exaggerations. But, I've had only good experiences from using TER to help me decide if it was worth the risk.
When some reviews suggest services that aren't offered, it hurts both the hobbyist and the provider. Ask before assuming. If it isn't offered in their ad - don't count on what you read from reviews as being fact or a case of YMMV and certainly don't blame the provider...
I don't base my decisions on what services are listed in a review. As most will experience something different for themselves then what others may have. When I've decided to see someone, it is in part due to the profile and information found in reviews and board post's. When I have doubt or questions, I'll ask the guys who have seen her before me.
One other thing I'm doing now. Since having met several of the hobbyist in person, their reviews and comment mean more to me. While everyone has their own tastes, likes and dislikes, I at least know the provider's been reviewed by someone I've met and can count on.
Bobcat, I'm curious to know if you are new to TER or are one that doesn't like to write reviews. The DC board greets those without reviews suspiciously. Who knows, you could be LE, or a reporter working on a story. If you use the search feature on the board you will find a lot of information, but some may be from traveling providers and dated. You can also use the review search feature to find who offers what you want - then look them up and see for yourself. Hope your references are up to date...
Happy New Year
...many providers have contacted me saying that my reviews understate my excellence as a lover.
I'm going to try to be more accurate in the New Year.![]()
