I appreciate the feedback. I have some time to think about it. By the way, her reviews are back up and I've attached a link to who I want to spend time with....she's a knockout....

I'm trying to setup an appointment with a gorgeous blonde out in Vegas for March. Since I'm a new client she's asking for a background check that requires my license number or address attached to the number. How safe is that? This woman has good reviews (taken down recently) and I do want a couple hours with this woman...she's a complete knockout!!!!

Thanks,

The other olderguy agrees with you.

But get in touch with her and give her the information you are usually comfortable giving to providers (including a reference if you have one).  And then invite her to meet you for coffee in a public place to check you out.  If she is very busy, you will probably get turned down.  But if she feels comfortable with this method of verification, she may say yes.  I've met some very wonderful ladies this way.  In fact, everyone I've met this way has been a spectacular date.

Being single I'm pretty liberal with my information, but I wouldn't go there. Just my opinion. There are plenty of wonderful ladies in Vegas that don't require that much personal information.

Some years ago I spent some time there and saw a number of ladies, none that required much info at all.

Too much information and what happens in Vegas may not stay in Vegas.

Personal decision, if you want to meet her you have to play her game.  I wouldn't provide a license number, on the other hand if you put your phone number into a google search in the format (xxx)xxx-xxxx or xxx xxx-xxxx and you have a listed number your name and address will be one of the first results so she's not really asking for anything special in that regard.

Possibly the License # is only for verification in terms of when you arrive, she can check your ID and match the number on your card... ask and if that is the case, maybe you can offer her some of the numbers, but not all.

As someone said, if you want to see her, you have to play by her rules and make her comfortable in her way.

You have received a lot of good pointers.  I will simply add that your driver's license number can be and is often used as the "key field" in the databases that contain other information.  These can include your SSAN, your bank accounts, any criminal or civil litigations, and the list goes on.

Anik makes a good point in that the provider may wish to check the digits on the license.  Fair enough; however, I would be leary of providing the whole number.  If someone wanted to perform a digit check, you could provide a certain sequence (first four, last four, etc.)

I deal with IT security every day. Go with with your heart, but also think with your mind.
