I booked an appointment a day in advance with Kelsey, whom I've always wanted to see. Appointment was easy enough to set up, typical two call system. I was given the hotel name early this afternoon, drove an hour and a half from MD to get there (even though it's only 29 miles but that's typical for DC traffic), called for the room number and was told she wasn't going to be at that hotel. They had messed up her reservation and now she was looking for somewhere else to go stay. I tried to wait it out but ended up taking the 2 hour drive home (now that it was evening rush hour) and once I was almost out of the city she texted me she was checking in to a Tyson's corner location in about 30 minutes. That was too far and too late.
I know the hotel mix up was probably not her fault and mistakes happen, but I wasted close to 4 hours driving for an appointment that never happened, plus I had to look like an idiot getting my car back from the valet 5 minutes after dropping it off. I'm sure she's great based on her reviews, but in the future I will only make the trip to DC if I'm assured the provider already has a room. Perhaps this will be helpful advice for some of you to avoid wasted time, gas, and opportunity as well.
Sorry to vent, but this was therapeutic, I'm feeling better already.
definitely missing out on Kelsey. She's a spectacular and fantastic provider. I've seen on many occasions in the past, and each time is better than the previous times. As you mentioned, its no her fault, but it was the hotel's mix up. I've booked plenty of hotels to know that these things do happen.
I totally understand your frustration. She has tried to remedy the dilemma with you. I know her, and she'll always try to please her clients if there is a deficiency or a dilemma.
You can't blame them for something that is out of their grasp. I can personally tell you, this has happen to me and many other hobbyist on many occasions with different providers, and even with different agencies. Things like this will happen, and it will not be the first or last time. Even when you think they have booked a hotel, sometimes things happened where they need to find a different location.
Look on the brighter side, Tyson's Corner is not as congested as DC, and there is no valet parking required. I would definitely reconsider seeing her again. You have already been screened. I'm not whiteknighting Kelsey, but felt that this situation was beyond their control.
A word of advice, sometimes its better to take a step back, and give it sometime before making an immediate decision. Sometimes adequate time is needed for reflection and reevaluation. It is not in the best interest to always make decisions base on emotions, but it should be made on intelligence. You haven't spoiled your chances to see her yet, but if you continue to vent in this manner, no providers will book you.
From my perspective, this is a common mistake. I personally wouldn't have post this on the boards. I would have taken some time to relax, possibly get some dinner or something. Then, would book an appointment with her later on the evening. Like I said, things like this do happen. If its the providers fault, I can understand, but, it was not her fault, but the hotel's mix up. If you noticed her ads a few days ago, it said downtown DC, it has now been changed to Tyson's Corner. Good luck my friend!
You should have waited it out. I always do, especially after significant amount of time is expended, until my calls are not answered. Think of the provider as well; she lose more than time.
Besides, you wouldn't look like an idiot by getting your car after 5 minutes.
I've only had limited hobby experience compared to you, but even I know that booking an appointment for the first day of a tour is unpredictable, and driving in DC is a nightmare. If you were in NoVA/DC in the late afternoon, that would be strike 3 on my scheduling no-no's list.
Providers don't just fly in and hope to find a hotel room, it's entirely possible she was ID'd and had to find a different hotel, or her room was sold to someone else before she got there (this happened to me on my wedding night). Shit happens, and this isn't your typical business where a customer service rep keeps you informed along the way and explains every detail, but you should know this by now.
I recognize Kelsey from her previous agency, I never got to see her myself (and her recent enhancements are a dealbreaker for me) but I remember dozens of reviews spoke of her eagerness to please. There was no need to call her out by name and give her Eros link, you're turning a scheduling SNAFU into a personal attack. It sucks to waste your time, but that's part of the nature of this game.
Scheduled a 2:00 with a traveling provider with great reviews and the hotel told her they didn't have a room available until 4:00.
She emailed me when she tried to check in - but I had already left. Called her at 2:00 and she told me about everything. Since it took one and a half hours to get there I opted to wait it out.
Before I got to the room she offered me half price for the session. Had a great time and met a wonderful person who I'll see again. I left the full fee in the envelope and she didn't check it until I left. As I'm walking back to my car all wobbly knees she calls and tells me to eat my Wheaties because I'd be crawling out the door the next time I see her.
Things happen that are out of our control sometimes - deal with it like an adult and treat people like you would want to be treated if you were in their shoes.
Have you ever heard of the general rules for waiting for women? It goes something like this, if you feel the women you are waiting for is a 10, then you wait for 10 hours for her to show up. If she is a 9, then you wait for 9 hours, etc. When she shows up calmly let her know that you have been waiting and that you are not going to accept this kind of treatment in the future. Then just forget all about your waiting time and have fun with her as if she were right on time. My guess is that you found Kelsey to be at least an 8 or you would not have been contacting her anyways. You should have tried to meet her by waiting at less 8 hours. She was obviously trying to still meet you. I'd say your blasting her on this site is unnecessary as it is really your fault for not being more understanding of beautiful women.

Sincere apologies for the mishap yesterday but the situation was beyond kelseys control and things like this do happen sometimes. We hope they never happen again and we will offer a discount if you would like too schedule an appt in the near future. But calling someone out by their name where everyone can see if rude and unprofessional. I have seen you before so I know you are a nice gentleman but that wont always save u always )
Thanks everyone for the support especially my ATF mcdonald
My intention was definitely not to personally attack Kelsey. I mentioned that I wanted to see her based on her stellar reviews and I said that I knew it wasn't her fault. Clearly she has several defenders, and the replies from those that have seen her were so positive I am going to take you up on your offer and contact you tomorrow to reschedule an appointment, with what I hope will be a glowing review to follow. My apologies to her if she was offended by my post.
Thanks to everyone for their input.

I have been more than frustrated for having to wait!
And we know some bp overbookers even do not answer the phone once we arrive at the hotel. I can understand the overbooking compared to them getting massive no shows. That is the danger of bp! Traffice has killed me on several occasions.
I am sure she could have texted you first that there was a problem but I can imagine she was frentically looking for another place.
Oh well, no debate intended ... shit happens ... and that is the life in the hobby!
Actually, fair and accurate criticisms are exactly what this board is for. Nothing inappropriate about that. Folks can judge the situation as they see fit.
Thanks again for all the feedback. Kelsey and I worked out a very reasonable compromise to make up for the mishap the other day. I greatly appreciate her working with me and I had a wonderful appointment with her today. I will post a full review, but she was definitely more than worth the effort it took to (finally) see her.
