Today I received my fourth message claiming that TER has been aiding law enforcement with catching and prosecuting providers and hobbyists.

I find this VERY hard to believe and attribute the e-mails to the growing hysteria because of the recent and very publicized busts.
When thinking about it, I am sure girls were getting busted before, but now there is more news coverage about the busts and people are getting frantic. (Remember people ...Sex Sells even on the 6 o'clock news)

The only sure fire way not to get caught is to quit the hobby. And if you decided quitting is not for you, get a good lawyer who specializes in the prostitution/pandering aspects of the law and place him/her on retainer.

I was talking to my lawyer the other day and told her she should have a clinic for providers to come in and learn what their rights are. A lot of people simply panic and confess in high stress situations (i.e. getting arrested) and that is how they really get caught.

Finally, be sure to become a informed voter so next time you can elect officials who will focus on preventing/fighting violence, theft and crimes where there is an actual victim.

It is not against the law to give it away for free to show your love, according to the article. Maybe providers should give it away for free to lure customers back, lol.

You are correct that those who are forwarding this information are spreading hysteria.

This subject has previously been discussed and is only a suspicion not fact. It is based on an interview with Dave E by MSNBC. There are email being sent out which claims to come from a concerned provider where it stipulates TER has given all they need to the Maryland State Police to go after providers and hobbyist. And that the information was also shared with the Feds. This can’t be proven nor is it a fact based on the interview.

I'm sure those who are spreading it sit back and watch it to see just how far it spreads. I for one am sick of hearing about it. Always coming second and third hand and never revealing the source. For all anyone knows it is someone who holds a grudge against TER or the hobbyist members.

I don't know of any lawyer that will accept a retainer specifically for a law you are likely to break. Please, someone explain this one to me.

Those who are most likely to be arrested are providers who fail to screen thoroughly. Seldom do you find the Hobbyist who is looking for quality providers such as those reviewed on TER arrested - most are stings using street walker LE.

Use Google News Alert to search and retrieve information on prostitution. You will see all the news on arrest's and location hourly if you want - everything that is covered by the six o’clock news will be repeated in print and covered by this search.

I agree - be safe - and smart would be to use TER or well known agencies and indy's that require screening.

LE would be better looking in who is stealing the ATM's. Have noticed that the ATMs are being stolen where LE is crackdown on the hobby. If they would focus on real crime the ATM would still be there.
