When I mentor, one of the things I teach is "chat is a no, no" period!

Many years ago through it's independents and agency members Fantasys! made a  few observations.
One of which is the psych profile of potential clients who engages in the use of chat for pre-contact of a provider as a "TREND" is not the best client.  It (Chat) also presents several different security risks most people don't see coming especially if you're having a bad day and in the wrong emotional, spiritual or mindset [head space]( et al ).
 
If you want to do chat for your "confirmed known quantity friends" then set it up on your website or use a third party program.  

What you experienced doesn't come as a surprise to me at all. Oh the stories shared with me over the years I could tell.

Merely a suggestion.

 If you want the full blown technical conversation as the hows and whys learned by those who have gone before you, ( as to not reinvent the wheel)  I have a website and a e-mail which is not that hard to find. Don't PM me.

Otherwise, vent, live, learn and then get over it. As you know, someone will be along to insult you next week.

to someone who has not followed protocol. It invites more questions than need be. If you respond to a request and set a date/time then maybe you have more reason to not ignore them..

 It does suck when I contact a provider and she doesnt respond. I usually assume she is busy or doesn't want to see me and leave it at that.  I don't try again in a few weeks/months.

I have noticed that sometimes a provider's site isn't clear as far as what verification they require.It will say they take P411 but then they say references required? Both? I recently saw a site and the lady states in bold that she will NOT accept any other reference but from two reputable providers. Even though she says she accepts P411 for verification the statement about provider references makes it very clear.

9 times out of 10 if they're contacting you from that lol they did not BOTHER to look at your website or reviews or anything else that I promise you.  
I dunno what it is that makes so many sensitive if not downright rude to be reminded he should do his homework first.  
He sounds like a total ass but aren't you glad to see his true colors way before ever meeting?

To the industry you'll get about 100 of these a month especially when you advertise on Eros. It's a complete waste of time to even entertain these guys just simply hit the little X in the corner of the window.  

Do NOT chat with clients or potentials ever, for many reasons the biggest one being its a waste of time. You are here to run a business, emails are best a few back and forth and then you move on to a solid booking, if they want to chat about anything and everything and start asking for too many details 9 times out of 10 those guys aren't serious about booking. Clients that really want to schedule will have a few questions and then they will Schedule.  

I got a text earlier asking if " I would do an hour for $180 dollars" not even close to the hourly rate I, for one didn't even respond and 2 didn't think to post it on here cause that again is a waste of time.  

Especially when guys know you're new will try all kinds of bullshit, especially the "Ill write a review and I'm a known board member and can bring you tons of business if you give me a discount bullshit" Ignore, Delete, and move on.  

You'll find when you set a certain standard of how you operate, your policies and procedures you will have less of those guys to deal with cause you simply Don't. Have. Time.

Sorry this happened to you, dear, but some people just have no class--it isn't just TER! By now, I am sure you have experienced enough of these jerks to know they will always be in supply. Don't let it get you down too much, take this as a lesson that some people -do not- deserve the "benefit of [your] doubt" and continue to provide the best service possible. : )
