Normally I stay in the downtown area and the transportation is extremely easy. This time around I will stay  in one of the suburbs and I have looked around online and it looks like i just might need a car. there  is a local train I believe just wondering if I could get sometype of link to that. I can't seem to find it

It depends on what all you want to do & where you want to go. If youre near a metro then stick to that. Here is the link. Good luck!

If you are staying in Arlington, Alexandria, or Silver Spring, you probably don't need a car, as you can rely on the Metro system.  If you are staying in Tysons Corner, BWI, or Dulles, then you should probably get one, as public transportation is difficult to find there.
