Has anyone noticed a difference between how providers portray themselves on their web-sites and board postings, and how they actually behave in person and via emails? I have been surprised more than once on how sexy and bubbly providers have been on the boards and their web sites, only to find them to be rather reserved and terse in their email communications, or on the phone - even after you have seen them. The difference can be a bit disconcerting because you want the experience you thought you were getting. I am talking here about the emotional connection rather than the physical connection.

On the other hand I have met others who were a bit intimidating when trying to set things up but have ended up being sweethearts in real life, have made you feel that they wanted you to visit with them again and again, and have gone out of their way to be accomodating.

Does anyone have some thoughts on Public vs Private personas?

I usually find the phone a pretty accurate predictor.  However, website postings (including here) can be somewhat different than from real life.  People can "behave" according to their own fantasy of themselves (and how they want to be perceived) on a computer, when something more resembling their actual persona will have to come out in real life.  This of course, also includes appearance.  

 BTW, some providers are good enough actors "in the flesh" to conceal their real persona.  I have been fooled more than once, leaving me with a degree of skepticism after these many years.  Sessions are fantasy and entertainment, after all.

 Oh yes, one more thing.  The phenomenon you assert cuts BOTH ways.  Quite often we hobbyists appear different in here from what is reality.  If you don't believe this, just ask jeep about ME.  Right jeep?  Right providers?  HAHAHAHA

The providers I've seen seem pretty much the same.  If I don't like the way someone sounds over the phone, I don't see them in person.  Between researching reviews and using my instincts on the phone, I've not had to deal with negative personalities - not all GFE, but not negative.

I know 9 ladies that will vouch for the fact that I am just as much of a loser in person as I claim to be here.

Be polite: First thing said should be "How are you today?" (perks up and gets wet over this one)
If leaving a message, state the purpose of your call. I do all sorts of stuff other than this gig under my assumed name. Yes, I flip pancakes on days 3 and 5 of the week. LOL.
Don't do the hushed voice whacking off in the telephone booth mutterings, or call from a place with bad reception. "Can you hear me now? No. (click)
Don't call from a blocked number and say, "So now what?" LOL. You have no idea.
