Notice how uterus envy is still in the URL.
I'm curious if the reason she changed it is because too many people pointed out that an escort with a hysterectomy doesn't do all that bad, and that no client really cares about an escort's uterus.

Sorry LegMan. I was responding to something on another website ( http://www.marilynsdiary.com/archives/2005/09/uterus_envy_it.html ) that was talking about hobbyist's uterus envy of providers. I don't think that board is entirely irrelevant to this board. Although, arguably my rants might be.

But anything with the subject will cath the eye and draw you in - even if it doesn't make sense..

Hmm - then it dawns on me what point he was making when refering us to a site that shows how science is creating the womb - you would have to read Marilyns post to know the humor in this - I think it is hysterical...

And as for the cloning - well, I didn't finish reading her post to see what point he was making.

Yet I did notice she changed the subject and even asked someone else what she was thinking when she first created it - not that it really means anything or even has to make sense...

Oh well, waiting for the next chapter to be written....

Yep... I should have anticipated that cutting and pasting my reply right from Marilyn's diary would have made me seem rambling and incoherent. Cloning isn't mentioned at all on Marilyn's post. I only brought it up as a yardstick to measure the time between when something is accomplished in the laboratory (say cloning Dolly) and when something is available to the public as a product (Savings and Clone). In the case of cloning, that period is about 10 years. (Probably a little less.) One can then extrapolate that Marilyn's claim to "Supreme Goddess" hood by virtue of her uterus will became rather trivial in about ten more years.

Personally, I can't wait till the link between sex, reproduction and disease is broken, (and I can see that happening. Actually, I can't see it not happening.)

So, in short here were my points:
Marilyn claims that "Women are the more powerful sex, and yet beyond that she is the supreme Goddess who can bear life into this world, for even though men have the seed, women have the womb, the breasts, and the gapping tunnel with life pummels through."
to which I claim, "The uterus isn't really a symbol of godhood, any more than the phallus is."

Marilyn claims that "They try to make it seem like they do not need us, like we are just some piece of ass they thought they could dip into between lunch and that 3:30 business meeting."

To which I claim "We don't need you. We need you as much as we need chocolate, or a ride on a roller coaster. We see escorts, because it's ENTERTAINMENT. And, you ARE a piece of ass we could dip into between lunch and that 3:30 meeting, if we can schedule it that way."

Well... There were more things I disagreed with on her post. Things like there being an undercurrent of envy and anger behind good OR bad reviews, or that TER members routinely unblur (magically, it would seem) faces, or publish unpublished phone numbers, or that "These hobbyist feel that by writing exploitive text about us they can reduce us to machines without feelings." Which is especially, great because it's wrong on two counts. A. we don't feel that way, and B. who thinks that writing exploitative text can reduce ANY person to a machine without feeling? or ... it just goes on and on. And, I'm only talking about that ONE single post! I'm not even bringing up the rest of her site.

Anyway, hopefully this post has been less rambling than the last one.

And btw, 6 points extra for using "hysterical" in the current context of discussing Marilyn's uterus!
