Last time I went to one (off Dupont Circle) I had a very bad experience. Got in the door, sat down in the room. Pay the mamasan for an hour. Started taking of my shoes, and in rush a couple of DC's finest undercover, flashing badges.

They take my name, look at my drivers license and proceed to search the place and question me aggressively. At this point all I've done is take off my shoes. What are you doing here? "It's a massage parlor. I've done nothing wrong, am I free to go?" How did you find the place? "There is a sign on the door. I've done nothing wrong, can I go now?" You are being detained but you are not yet under arrest. Have you been here before? "I'm not comfortable with this or with answering more questions. I've done nothing wrong. Am I free to go?"

Anyway, to make a long story short, it's been a long time since I've looked for a AMP in DC.

I am wondering if there are any AMPs or similar massage providers in DC itself, especially near downtown.

Fron what I can tell, all or most of these providers are in the burbs.

Wow that's some scary stuff! Do you minding telling us the aftermath? Did they let you go? Any media smearings/expose?
Everyone says to deny, clamp up, and call lawyer, but not many tells how that works out...

I kept repeating variations of what I'd said "I have done nothing wrong. Am I free to go?"

They told me I was being momentarily detained while they investigated the location. They took down all my information and probably checked for anything in my background that would allow them to hold me. At one point they made me stand in front of the door to my room and took my picture. I objected, but they essentially just did it.

After about 10-15 minutes, they eventually let me go, but they pretty much harrassed and browbeat me the whole time. They used every thing they could think of to try and get me to talk to them about anything. I think they figured if they got me to talk, eventually I might say something that they could use against me.

One interesting note: they were very interested in *how* I found the place. It set my antenna on alert. I've always suspected that they might have been getting me to say I found the place over the internet so as to trigger some sort of interstate commerce / federal jurisdiction. I said I saw the sign on the door. If anyone else has any thoughts on this, I'd be interested in hearing them.

Really sad what has become of the AMP in DC. They used to be my go to places and the ladies were so hot, affordable and amazing! It's been over 3 years since I tried any of them and all the good ones are in private locations in NoVa...
