....and is usual with a sad state, it has a sad story....

Being unexpectedly stuck here in the NOVA area for a couple of extra days this week, I decided to indulge myself a bit (don't get the chance nearly often enough).  I understand it was short notice, but I posted a note, contacted one of the area's very lovely and well reviewed providers, arranged for her to call me this morning to confirm an afternoon rendezvous, and settled back to contemplate a comfortable and warm afternoon....

I'm sure everyone has figured out the next part...no morning call to confirm...no afternoon call....ping-no-echo as we used to say in the old days.  I did call myself to express my disappointment...but of course, by then it was too late.  I'm not sure what it is, but I've always found that the most exasperating thing...I understand that things do happen from time to time, and everyone  who participates in this is a free-agent...but if you say you're going to call, then call.  To do anything else is simply impolite in the extreme.

So then...checked into the hotel here in Crystal City early...thought I'd share my two cents...kicking back and watching the time float by until my flight leaves in the morning.  I suppose that this must be an indication that business in this area is really, really good.....

Then again that might not work out either, usualy one disapointment leads to another. Some times shit dosen't happen for the best, and I belive the forces of nature are keeping you safe. Trying to look at it in the positive, of course that's not the same satifaction as a hotty sitting on your face. Best of luck

I been living in NOVA for almost 3 years and overall the escort situation is horrid. All the good gals work in or near DC. Best I've had is PrimeDC girls who worked at a hotel in Tysons Corner.

Over the years I've called almost a dozen college cuties in the NOVA area and they were all nightmares. I wont get into the details but the distinct lack of professionalism has to be more than a coincidence. I am sure that any girl worth a damn heads to DC for work cuz theres better money.

Try a DC gal next time, or a DC service that sends women to the more affluent suburbs. May cost 50 bucks more but believe me its worth the money.

really easy & quick to take Metro to the Dupont Circle area where there are usually many ladies working.  If you are easily referred by other providers you ought to be able to find someine reliable there if you start maybe a day in advance.

I had a similar story today with a client I have seen before who then fell off the earth. He said he was definitely coming and that he was serious, blah, blah, blah. Owell... I am in DC and no matter what I am going to have fun. You should too! Don't let the night be a complete bust!!

Have fun, Sidney Starr

But that has nothing to do with why I didn’t call.

I had a situation come up that required my immediate and full attention. I contacted those on my calendar to re-schedule. Since you refused to commit to a time (and subsequently were not on my calendar), it completely slipped my mind.

Unprofessional?  Yes. Which is why I sincerely apologized…repeatedly.

Emergencies, happen. Thankfully for me they don’t happen often.

After speaking with you (clearly very upset), I fail to understand what you intend to gain from this post…besides the obvious pity party.

Take care, and have a safe trip home.

theres something in your post that im not following- why is she calling you to confirm the rendezvous? why didn't you call?  its all a moot point now but thats a sure-fire way to get disappointed- not being proactive...

oh well, things happen from time to time..... if shes well-reviewed like you said, I doubt she did this on purpose....

plus it does seem like you managed to get a hold of her and had a chance to talk it out.... and yes, not calling is impolite but she apologized (I'm assuming) so harping on it does nobody any good... not much else she can do but apologize...

seems all you wanted to do was a vent a little which is understanable but kudos for not throwing her name out there to the wolves...

try not to think about it too much- hobbying is much more enjoyable the less negative energy you have :)

This transactional sex thing has a lot of opportunities to go off the rails. If a guy can't handle that, he should give it up. All you have to do is think about the myriad things that could happen to mess up a date. Every time one of these meetings comes off as planned, count your blessings.

Colette, you come out of this smelling like a rose. Don't let this forum get under your skin.

Life is funny and fortunately, I really can't recall the last time I had a NCNS (I'm including last minute cancels) with a provider or that a provider had with me.

I was under the impression this site was for discreetly sharing provider experiences so hobbyists can make more informed decisions of who to see. You posted, "Emergencies, happen. Thankfully for me they don’t happen often" yet I recalled a similar post just last month and thought it pertinent to the discussion so I posted it. Sorry if that didn't sit well with you but if you don't want people posting about your NCNS then don't be a provider who does NCNS. It's a two way street and a thirty second phone call goes a long way. It's an adult thing.

There are, "NINE very acceptable reasons for the use of an alias" (in my case 3, 4, 5 and 10 all apply so take your pick). Hobbyists use them, providers use them and even moderators use them. Is it everyone who uses an alias or only the people who discreetly share pertinent information about past experiences with you that you feel are the cowards? Either way what you see as cowardice, I see as discretion.

Regardless, information has been provided and opinions have been expressed which may help some to make more informed decisions and I think that's why TER exists.

Now back to my sandwich.

Care to elaborate? Or would you like to leave it with an open-ended and overly vague statement in an attempt to “save face”?

What would it take to satisfy you, darling? Since I clearly need to put on my kiddie gloves for you.

Stop being a drama queen. You made your point. I made mine. Move on and get laid.

The provider in question identified herself in the post preceding yours. The guy who made the post is being a royal asshat. Don't legitimize his behavior. Venting in the manner he did is completely low-class. And, if you haven't noticed, there are few wolves on this board. Just white knights.

Not the first time Colette has done this. I've been down this road with her. But she is such a good provider everyone comes to her defense, and crucifies whoever complains. Wait until your the one left hanging. Quit making excuses for her. I still see her, but the next time it happens it will be my last. Alias for obvious reasons.

Yes...it often does.

Yes, I've canceled in the past. I may very well cancel in the future. Life is a funny thing. Show me a provider who has never canceled...I dare you.

This post is quite concerning to me though...Is it the fact that I've canceled in the past that bothers you? Or is it that I've stood up for myself?

Additionally, why the alias? Are you afraid of little ole me?

Anything worth saying about someone is worth saying to their face. The alias shows me that you are nothing but a coward.

I already have. I just have a problem with you belittling people who point out your problems, like you just did in this response. Providers obviously have problems sometimes, but you do causally cancel appts. I know you apologize, but then you make fun of the client. The man showed you great courtsey by not metioning your name, then you childishly respond. You are the one who should grow up.
Potential clients have the right to know how you conduct business and they should be prepared for a last minute cancellation. Now go ahead and make fun of me.

Ok please understand that I'm not defending anyone here.

I've been through this before with few providers who canceled on me without giving reasons, and some did gave reasons.  But I really didn't let that bother me at all.  I even canceled few times due to last minute errands that i needed to take care of, and requested to reschedule, and some providers were understanding and rescheduled, and some just never bothered to reply to me.  And still....didn't bother me at all.  I respect that and moved on.  Let's try to be nice to each others and not make a big scene out of all this.  Life happens (many of you said that earlier in the post), and DC area is full of other providers even will schedule couple hours in advance.

Good luck to you all and enjoy the weekend!

And for the person that started this post, have a safe and wonderful trip.  Better luck next time :)

...for those who wished me a safe trip, I made it just fine, thanks much...and noticed in the mean time that this thread took quite an interesting turn....

Colette...I did not call you out on this subject, and in fact never mentioned your name at all.  You chose to weigh in all by yourself, and also chose to become unnecessarily abusive in your posts.  Your choice, and I'm not interested in participating, and no I'm not particularly intimidated either.  You do have your fans...I think that's great...I'm just not one of them.

Since you did make the choice to identify yourself, I will say that your behavior towards me was inconsiderate, and I simply know of no other way to describe it. When I did call, what you characterize as an apology sounded a lot more like "how fast can I brush this guy off of the phone". Had it been even remotely like an apology, I wouldn't have made the initial post on this thread (which should answer your questions as to the point of the post and the reason for posting).

I have learned through this thread, however, that apparently you do have a history of this sort of behavior.  I didn't invent that, by the way, but had I known about it previously I do expect I would have approached you (or decided against approaching you) differently.  I would think that anyone interested in seeing you would also be well served by reading your posts, and your linked posts in this thread.

Apologies to all for repeating...and that's all I have to say on the subject...

i didn't read everyone's post, hence the reason i replied to HIS post...

i see she identified herself, kudos to her for coming forward... trust me, im not legitimizing his behavior either but to say he did came forward in a low class manner, isn't even accurate- low class would've been putting the lady's name out there from the get go...

no wolves?   good one....

you are right, there are a ton of white knights on here, i believe i've just had the honor of meeting one...

i bid thee a good night o brave and noble knight

If you have been in this hobby for more than a short time, cancellations and no calls/no shows will happen from time to time from even highly rated providers.  Shit happens (abusive client, child care issues, illness, robbery, etc)  and when shit happens, sometimes cancelling appointments is the last time on a provider's mind.  Yes, we like to think of providers as well run small businesses with a long term outlook on customer satisfaction but the reality is it is just one person and when unforeseen events happen, calling to cancel appts may not be high of the list.  I've had at least 4 highly rated providers just flake out on me and not respond to on the scheduled day to confirm or not pick up when I'm at the location.  Usually, I get some excuse later in the week and it's not the best customer service, and it is quite frustrating but I accept it as part of the business.  Its a factor that I consider when deciding whether to see the provider again but if it is a "10" session the next time I see her, I quickly forget about the past no show.

Despite the numerous posts, from hobbyists and the provider herself, attesting to the reliability problems of the provider, the provider posted today and yesterday on this discussion board and elsewhere, ads promoting the provider as being "Sexy, Sweet, and RELIABLE"
