Yes...the speed and connection times should be much improved tomorrow not to mention the availabilty of ATFs during the lunch hour on Monday.
So there are even more benefits than we knew!

Don't know where you heard that, but it is bullshit. I'm retired military, and my pay is not cut. Besides, the government is not shut down, yet. If it does get shut down, ALL government paychecks will stop, not be cut in half.

Any thoughts on impact to hobbying activity locally or nationwide

Maybe more since folks have more time on their hands ?
Mayble less since no paycheck may be coming ?

You'll see a drop in client activity for those who are dependent on the normal business channels which we're not.

...This wouldn't be happening if I was President. Be it executive order, slush fund, donations from corporations to military families or getting the Banking industry ease burdens. Our military salaries will be paid or this hardship minimized in some very creative way.

i am a hard working fed and just told 75% of my staff they may not be working on monday.   i could go into a rant about how this is so damaging to the country, but that is OT for this board.   to stay on topic, i see no short term impact to my hobby sked.

...at about 11:45 pm last night.  The idiots on the Hill sure jerked everybody around for the better part of this week.  If more than 40% of us bothered to vote, this crpa would be less likely to happen.

What passed last night was a one week CR  not the budget.  The budget has been agreed to by leadership but it could fall apart.  I am NOT predicting that but it is possible.
