Planes fly over the area regularly so I bet a lot of info has been collected. How hard is it to match a number to an escort ad and hangout outside of your location? Text msg, photos, phone convo etc are picked up. giving a location over voice is actually no safer than a text message in the grand scheme of things. NSA complies data and one day if not already they will sell information to local law enforcement. Hell...you think the NSA can't match the voice of person on a escort/hobby phone to someone with their regular phone? Maybe some of y'all disguise voices really well....but then again some girls need the comfort of a phone conversation creating a larger data sample to match voices and locations.
And the fact that 80's drug laws are still on the books in most places you can have assets seized if any connection is made to illegal activity. Granted, the laws were only used against certain racial segments of the population for harassment as well...it technically applies to anything. I guess if you are a 1%er you could probably litigate your way out of the scenario and create doubt.
Anyways, better technology makes it extremely easy to shut this game down. And i'm not sure how much longer the effort will be relatively high to shut this game down especially if NSA gives info to local law enforcement at will. I think the years are numbered unless we fight for the right to legalize...but i'm not sure how many people want protest/activist on Washington and around the country like they do for marijuana.
http://www.phonedog.com/2014/11/13/u-s-government-reportedly-collecting-public-s-cellphone-data-using-planes-that-pose-as-towers/ "According to a sources speaking to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Marshals Service program flies airplanes around “at least five” major metropolitan airports with a range that is said to cover “most” U.S. citizens. These planes are reportedly equipped with devices known as “dirtboxes” that mimic a cellphone tower to trick phones into sharing their registration info.
These dirtboxes are said to be used on a “regular basis” in order to try and collect information on criminal suspects. However, "they also collect data from many innocent people in the process, including their identifying info and location.
While the dirtboxes reportedly discard the information collected on innocents, the claim that the U.S. government is regularly flying planes around and pretending to be a cell tower so that it can get identifying info on people is a bit worrying. Not only are these details being collected by the government without the knowledge of the public, but it’s not clear exactly what they do to get rid of that info."
It always goes along with my theory i had since I was 9 that was maybe inspired from a movie i saw as a child...but the more technology you put into something to easier it is to access what is locked on the other side.
Like Hotels switching to keycards makes it easier for criminals to run a bunch of combinations with a device and break in...even though you obviously have limited time....but I would never want that type of lock on a house as you would have time to stand outside of a house if no one is home or you don't have security cams.
food for thought....
