Its no ones loss.  Its just a case of it is what it is.

Was trying to set up a meeting with a provider today - a very well reviewed provider - who declined to see me because I've left bad reviews for other providers before. This seems to be against the spirit of TER, in my opinion.

If she has a problem with you posting honest reviews that she says are "bad" then she may fear that her level of performance would not be enough to ensure that you would not post a bad one of her. If the girl was a top notch provider then she should/would have nothing to fear as far as a bad review.

She may have saved you some time and money. It is almost always just goofy when providers turn away a hobbyist who is attempting to hand them over the funds they request for their time and company, don't trouble yourself about it, it is her loss.

I'm not really sweating it. When I pressed her, she seemed to take issue with the fact that I pulled the plug on a couple terrible providers and wrote about it, suggesting that I unfairly stiffed a provider who was exceptionally disinterested and made me want to leave with her own actions.

What struck me is that she said she didn't like seeing guys that give bad reviews, and that she'd feel uneasy about it the entire time.

Didn't mention the TS thing, but it may have been a factor I guess. Haven't even seen one since that last bad experience but haven't had time to write reviews of the regular girls I've seen.

Yeah, I know that. Guess I need to stop being lazy and review the others... but really, I don't care what people think about that. And why would someone have a problem texting me that the TS thing is an issue?

Funny thing is, though I know there is a stigma, I've never had the TS thing mentioned to me once and I've seen probably 20 different girls over the last year.

And to add one more detail, this was not a backpager or anything like that. This was a VERY well reviewed $400/hour provider.

Providers can see who they want - that much I know and understand. It was the part about not seeing folks that leave bad reviews that struck me. If that's her true policy, and one can debate whether her choice had more to do with the TS thing than anything, it's essentially saying, "I don't want people to be honest" and seems to go against all that TER is built on.

My comment might be pulled.  But seriously dude!  You must be friggin' HARD to please!  One quick look is all I needed.  I would never see someone like you.  Honestly, I doubt you would want to see me either since I am over 45.  But your scores suck.  Plain and simple.  IMHO..They suck.  That's my opinion.  I don't blame her for not seeing you.  Karma is a bitch.

And to be fair, I've changed my hobbying in the last year or so, going with a higher level of provider, and I've grown out of the TS curiosity thing. But I've been remiss in writing reviews though due to the time and the hoops you have to jump through to leave reviews (read: I've been lazy).

Honestly, you weren't there. I've left the donation for 99 percent of my activities in this hobby, including many times that I didn't feel it was really justified.

But in the two cases you reference, the performance was so bad, the bait and switch (in one case) so obvious, the disinterest so noticeable, that I wasn't going to just bite the bullet. I'm sure I'll get shit for this, but if you go to a restaurant and order a steak and they serve you a pile of crap on your plate do you pay?
