before we throw it under the bus. I don't see how moving the ads has any impact on the other posts. Either someone has something to say or they don't. If you want to see the ads just open them up.

The average daily post count is pretty much right on track if you factor in the post for both the two DC boards. I look at it daily and was curious myself if it would change. In the last 24 hours the post count is within normal high to low fluctuation.

But gotta tell ya....I started this thread around 10pm Thurs eve....8 am Fri morning it remains the newest thread.   Kinda boring don't ya think?

I look at the entire 24 hour period not just a snap shot of a few hours especially overnight hours. Over night is always slow for the obvious reasons plus post sit in the quere until I approve them. Mods do sleep too. Low post count 8 post a day, average 100 to 110, high 120 to 130. Last 24 hours last time I checked 99.

Why are you just interested in flooding the board with inane posts? Let the posts have some meaning. Quality, not quantity is what matters.

I honestly think this change is great. Just look at the number of reads now on current topics.

Before, it used to zip across the first page within a matter of hours because it would get flooded by provider advertisements. Now current topics stick around a while longer and have much more participation.  
Typical reads never topped over a 1000 unless it reached toward the bottom half of the page but now it's easily reaching such readership even before it reaches the bottom half.

As for having to go to provider ad boards, Some people complain that it takes extra mouse movement, but WTF... it's all consolidated.  I'm PRETTY damn sure that us horny men will move the mouse over to that board on a very very regular basis.  

Same effect applies to provider ads, their advertisements stick around much longer on the first page since us horny men aren't flooding the ad board with our inquiries/411/complaints/rants posts.

I really think it's a great improvement.

My concern is not filling the board with inane post. but I have through the years seen several boards decline to the point  to little if any no hobby relevance.  Just hate to see that happen to TER.

Yes and looking at the views of the ads in the dc ab boards I've never see over 1k on so many ads ...pretty nice.
