No flame taken.  Admittedly, I'm a n00b to this, so I appreciate the info.  Sounds like the only way to go in DC is the independent route - am I right?  Any recommendations?

Most Indy's are not going to see you without references.....

Get approved by a 3rd party verifier such as P11, Date-check, etc....

Then find a WELL KNOWN indy who uses that service, who also will provide references, and you are set....
