I got a cold slap in the face earlier this week.  While looking through some reviews I checked a providers link on one of the lesser used services.  Since I had not been on that site in some time I started checking out some of the other ads and I come across a provider with familiar looking pics. On closer inspection (the pics show her face) I know the provider well, she is my wife's best friend.  With what I know about her I think she has just started to be a provider.  When searching the phone number she gave in the ad, she has no reviews yet on TER.

I have no worries that I would have contacted her as a hobbist because physically she is not my type.  But I am now thinking that you never know who will open that door when you visit a provider for the first time.  I don't think my wife knows about my hobby activites and would like to keep it that way. (For the record, my wife would not be upset with my being intimate with other women, she would be upset that the money I spend in the hobby isn't being spent on her.)  I guess any meet and greats or parties are out of the question now.

I have two questions for the readers of this board:

For hobbiest -- Have any of you ran into someone you know well and see often outside the hobby.  If so haw did you handle the situation.

For providers -- How much do you share with other providers about your clients.  Without naming names or even giving a description, there are certain things about my life that I have shared with providers that are unique to me.  If these got back to this provider she would know it is me.

I did experience a close encounter of the wrong kind while visiting another city.  The provider photos did not show her face, but she had good reviews and was with a reputable service.  

When she showed up at my room, she looked way too familiar.  After a really good session we both could not let the topic go and started comparing histories.

Turns out she is from the same home town as me (15k or less people) and I know her family.  I actually went to school with an older cousin that she looks strikingly similar to.  We both laughed and I suppose have the mututal deterent that neither of our families know, but I was freaked out to say the least.  

In your case, you are correct to have the concern that info could get back.  You should think about sticking to visiting providers or out of town encounters if you travel.

Sticking with visiting providers is great advice.  I have three local providers that I see on a somewhat regular basis.  All are pretty cool so as I see them I can let them know the specifics of my situation.

In the mean time I'm going to monitor her to see if she gets any reviews.  Like I said in the original post, I think she is new to the lifestyle.  Maybe she won't like it and will quit.

My interest in any reviews and her ad is only to monitor if she stays active in the biz.  If no reviews show up and her ad drops then I guess the coast is clear.  I actually like her and I don't have any problem with her if she does provide, I only hope she stays safe.  

Maybe I'm over reacting but everyone is different and I need to have a comfort level to remain active myself.  I'll probably just stick to seeing visiting providers and locals that I already know.
