Wow is right.
Why would anyone suggest that a companion isn't "real", without having any basis whatsoever for making that kind of damaging allegation.
For the record, I posted for the first time here on TER (or anyplace actually) this past Saturday; three days ago.
Is it really surprising that as of Tuesday morning any gentlemen I may have, or may not have met since then haven't found the time to comment on it yet?
I doubt posting a comment or review on TER is really anyone's most pressing concern.
If you'd rather not meet me until I have reviews here, I'm not angry with you.
If you'd rather not meet me because you don't like the color of my eyes, more power to you.
If you'd rather not meet me because you think I talk too much, well, I get on my own nerves sometimes too.
But we're all grown ups here.
None on us should insinuate things that aren't true unless we have good reason to believe they are.
Just my two cents for whatever they're really worth.
Well put! Good luck here!
After three days to have no reviews? No, not at all. In fact, I think all of my reviews have taken close to the 72-hr mark to get posted. Add to that one or two days before I submitted them, and a delay of even a 10-days or more before you see a review wouldn't be anything to write about.
Good luck! And welcome aboard.
Off topic: But as I was just reading my reply, my words "Is it really surprising? No, not at all" sparked a deep recall of a song from my childhood that I was sure was going to taunt me. No way I was going to remember. Started a google search: "song: was i surprised. pretty ballerina." Damn, nailed it! Thank god because I've had lots of frustrating moments like this lately. They all get resolved, but usually not this quickly. And this one from 1966! Yo, I was musically precocious little rug rat, if I do say so myself:
First Google result:
"Lyrics and video for the song Pretty Ballerina by The Left Banke - 1966 ... Was I surprised, yeah, was I surprised, no not at all."
I knew Renee Fladen who married a friend of mine, Woody Kamm. When I met them in 1968 they lived on Mott Street on the lower east side of New York. I ran into them again when they had moved to 75 River Street in Somerset, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. She was the inspiration for the Left Bank's hits, Walk Away Renee and Pretty Ballerina and one of the most beautiful women I ever met. This brings me back to those days of my early 20's when it seemed everything was possible.
I thought it was a pretty obvious joke. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Welcome aboard and good luck.
All of the replies were really nice.
I won't lie, I was terrified when I wrote it.
I hate to bring any sense of bad aura to anything I'm apart of.
But the Moon is in Pisces today
Makes us all a little more sensitive.
Don't you laugh at me!!!!!!
But Mr. holystonethedeck, your reply was my absolute favorite.
I really didn't mean to single you out.
OK, that's a lie, I did.
But I wish I hadn't.
After reading it again you're right...It was an obvious joke.
I'm guessing that's why it ends with "lol"".
Picture me embarrassed.
So, you know that person who reads the headline and thinks they know the whole story.
Sometimes that's me.
Bad habit, I'm working on it.
Rebecca, no need to apologize. I have been communicating electronically (email, direct messages, etc) since 1982 and I know that sometimes written words can be misconstrued and taken the wrong way. Humor and light-heartedness sometimes doesn't come through. Not your fault. And you can single me out anytime you'd like.
You seem like a delightful woman. Now I'm interested in meeting you...
I’m just thankful I made it through Mercury Retrograde.
You sound pretty cool to me, anyway.
Sorry, Rebecca, I can’t find your TER number or reviews. Can you enlighten me? Thanks
She apparently doesn't have any reviews yet according to what was said above.
