at least not according to a thread from a couple of days ago in which someone bemoaned the fact that he had provided references and personal information to a provider and never received so much as a courtesy email turning him down.  The poster did not identify the provider but someone speculated that it was one of the "Mindee cartel" because he had a similar experience.  
I don't think you are being overly sensitive or asking too much.  If you had exhibited similarly inconsiderate behavior, you'd probably be blacklisted by much of the local provider community.  I would take it as a lesson learned - now you have a group of providers you can cross off your list.  DC is a magnet for providers.  The word is clearly out that this is one of the few areas of the country that has not been slammed by the recession.  I have never seen more visiting indies and agencies.  And I have never seen more "specials."  There's plenty of talent out there and plenty of competition for your hobbying dollars.  There's no need for any hobbyist in this town to beg a provider to allow him to pay for her company.

I think it is common courtesy to respond to email, text or voicemail even if you are busy. If I get no response I usually take it to mean the she is just not interested and I move right on along.

Have you contacted them both via email and PM? I would give one more try as they could be overwhelmed. I have not had problems contacting them. Only problems that I have had, were with the damn traffic.

I have seen several of the gals over the past few weeks without a single problem, quick email response, easy setup and overall a great experience. There was a similar thread earlier in the week about references where some of the folks suggested that the gents negative reviews were part of the reason he was not getting a respone. Could that be the case? Have you done something that is sending red warning flags with the ladies?

every other day there are bunch of reviews on them either one on one or doubles, so there is no question that they are active.

I met with two of them and they were telling me that they have very limited time due to school work and apparently some rich guys book multi-hours with them and take out the available time (Bastards )

Took me over a week to hear back from one of them only to learn my "references" hadn't responded!  Oh well, lot's of other fish in the sea!

Not sure what the SOBE contest is, but the same thing has happened to me every now and then. If there's some reason they can't see you,then it is commn courtesy to so the reason why.

for their little cartel to advertise here when they obviously are not intersted in entertaining many of the gents who make up our happy little group.

I had an easy time contacting them and they have been prompt & courteous. I have seen 5 of them & have spoken to 2 others via email. Patience is a virtue. They have outside lives too.  Keep trying

As I said earlier I have experienced zero problems with hearing back from these ladies. in fact an email I sent out for an afternoon appointment was answered within the hour, then when on the gals started feeling bad I was kept informed reagrding the line up change (it is a doubles).  Not sure why you were having problems but I have found that if I treat the ladies like I would want to be treated I don't have any problems. So to generalize and say they don't respond would b a stretch since I have been in near constant contact with three of the SOBE gang today and have seen most of the other ones with similar experiences

Admittedly, I have not been able to schedule the appointments I want due to demands on their time.  However, without exception I have gotten a response within a day at the most, and usually within a few hours from each of the ladies that I have contacted.  

My expectation is that things will settle down once the hype surrounding this contest goes away and their schedules return to normal.  In addition, my feeling is that, for the younger ladies, given how new all this is to them, they are having a great deal of trouble managing their time right now.

Sounds to me like they are being heavy handed with the screening requirements.  While I have been contacted in a timely and professional manner by all involved, I do question whether information required for screening is being retained or shredded once screening has been completed.

For those nervous providing contact information, get Date-Check or P411 and then both you and the lady will know all is well.  But these ladies have been educated by a very smart lady herself, Mindee, so relax there is no sinister intent.
