Different Agency, but I called to make an appt @ Desirable and was told that they hadn't heard from the girl (brandy) all week... at least I didn't make an appt and they were very upfront so Kudos for honesty.
Disclaimer - this complaint has nothing to do with any of the girls at ClassyDC, just with the management of the agency itself.
I made an advance appointment with ClassyDC, an agency I have used many times in the past, to see a particular girl. I confirmed the appointment several times, including immediately prior to the 30 minute drive I took, in the middle of my work day and far out of my way, to see her. All the while, the management assured me that we were confirmed, and I arrived at the hotel early.
Now, those of you who have used Classy are probably aware that they tend to run late, and I partially understand this. They want to make sure you are definitely going to be there before they send out a girl and have her check in.
Bear in mind, though, that I confirmed repeatedly, and I expected to be delayed somewhat - maybe twenty minutes or so - for the usual reasons.
However, five minutes after the appointment was supposed to start, and I am sitting in my car waiting for the text or phone confirmation, I am told that the girl will NOT be coming to the hotel after all, and that she won't even be available for two more hours, at another location.
Understandably, I was extremely upset. I now had a return trip ahead of me and nothing to show for it except a messed up schedule that I needed to rearrange again. And this after I carefully and repeatedly checked that our appointment was "on".
Now, the management, realizing they screwed up, offered me an appointment with another girl I DIDN'T want, for basically the same rate I usually pay (a very modest discount), after I went through the hassle of showing up for an appointment that they gave me every reason to believe was confirmed.
I am very disappointed, I think rightfully so, and I am unlikely to use this agency again in the future. I really hate to complain, I am usually a positive person and I wouldn't want to besmirch the wonderful girls at Classy, but I feel that this was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate and I am a very disgruntled customer!!!
Any thoughts?
Im sorry to hear what happen to you. I do think you have a reason to be upset. Its one reason why I almost never see a agency girl, but I know the same thing can happen to an Indy. I hope they offer you a really nice discount for the girl would like to see, but It maybe a little too late for you.
Good luck
Couple of points:
1.Not sure what you expected to gain by posting this.
2.Shit Happens, all the time. Agencies often get a room for what's available and then need to change to another location, blah, blah, blah.
It's not always the agencies' fault.
3.This will not be the last time something like this happens to you. So roll with it, pound sand and suck it up.
If you want to continue to see the ladies, this is part and parcel to what you have to accept. If the agency is really bad, they won't stay in business anyway.
While I completely understand your point that "stuff" happens and you need to roll with the punches ...
I'm glad this was posted. I don't think he needed to gain anything other than helping his fellow hobbyists by sharing his experience. I think that's an important part of this board.
The original poster has 4 reviews. So I suppose 1 experience out of 4 is a pretty high percentage.
I don't have 500 reviews, but enough to know this is not unusual. I've had more crap happen to me than all of the others who have posted their disagreement with me on this thread/topic, combine. I promise you.
That's fine, you're all entitled to your opinions. I submit there will be quite a different perspective when you all have more experience.
There was a time when classy and prime didn't even exist. There are also a lot of agencies that don't exist anymore but along the way, I've had the pleasure of enjoying the talent they've brought to the market. And, I don't regret putting up with "unprofessional" treatment from time to time because the rewards have far outweighed the inconveniences.
Don't make the mistake of trying to apply your individual set of professional "values" to something you have no idea how to set up, run and maintain.
Like I said in my original post. If the agency is bad enough, it will go out of business. It happens all the time. In the meantime, I will enjoy the ladies while you guys stand on your principles.
Enjoy!
I've been around for quite awhile and I haven't had much in the way of "crap" happen to me.
Your threshold for "professional values" seems to be much lower than mine. I also avoid agency's like the plague. I feel they are much bigger targets for LE to go after than an independent. It also seems there are more scheduling "problems" with them than dependable independent providers.
I might stand on my principles - but I don't stand on the sidelines and have my valuable time wasted.
To each his own and your way is no better than mine - have fun and good luck in your endeavours.
JT, "You've had more crap happen to you then all those posting disagreements combined". Really? Is there a crap monopoly website with your name on the top of the list that I'm unaware of? Your unequivocal statement is both pompous and presumptuous. I for one have seen many more providers then my reviews suggest but for a variety of reasons simply choose not to write a review after every provider visit. I've also experienced more then my fair share of crap treatment over the years. The number of reviews or posts a hobbyist has may not be indicative of their true experience.
How do you know what knowledge other hobbyists have about setting up, running or maintaining an agency?
1) "Not sure what you hope to gain by posting this" - If enough people complain often enough about unacceptable behavior in the community then it's possible that the offending party may actually consider changing the way they conduct themselves for the better. If not then they may find themselves falling into that category you mentioned as "bad enough it will go out of business". Either way by exposing the behavior you're doing a service to the community. On the flip side however, if you're turning a blind eye to it then you're doing a disservice to the community. On way for a busines to improve is by heeding feedback (good and bad) from clients. As it relates to the community, I don't see much difference between turning a blind eye to poor treatment and writing a good review for a poor performance.
2) "Shit happens" - chalking up poor service or improper treatment to "shit happens" is lazy, dismissive and borders on condoning it.
3) "This will not be the last time something like this happens to you. So roll with it, pound sand and suck it up." - If you want to roll with it, pound sand and suck it up then please go right ahead but keep doing what ya been doing and you'll keep getting what ya been gettin'. It's people like the OP that have the nads to step up and actually try to do something about it by exposing it. I for one applaud the OP for sticking his neck out.
"If you want to continue to see the ladies, this is part and parcel to what you have to accept." - Negative my esteemed fellow hobbyist, you do not have to accept this behavior. You can speak out against it to help motivate the offenders to change whether they are an agency, independent or hobbyist. "If you want to be seen, stand up. If you want to be heard, speak up. If you want to be appreciated shut up!"
And now I need to get back to my sandwich so I can have the strength to put up with that windbag nag of mine... ![]()
...that a professional agency behaved irresponsibly and should offer reasonable recompense. Sure, stuff happens, but that doesn't excuse a screwup like this, from the info in the OP. Just my .02.
What he gains from this is that there are men out here that are willing to tell the truth and not sugar coat an experience.
The shit happens doesn't hold water in this case....he confirmed repeatedly and was lied to or the agency didn't perform or verify their provider was willing to see him at that time and location.
I don't accept that this part of the business should be condoned intentionally or not. If I was him - I would also walk the other way and not deal with this agency again. Just not trustworthy and everyone's time is valuable - don't waste it.
I disagree with JT's post entirely as well, this is not something that you should just "accept" as part of the business... it's inconsiderate and unprofessional.
Our time is also valuable. Once I went to see one girl from another agency. When I was at the location and called in. I got call after few minutes that the girl was ready. When I went to room and knocked door, there was no answer. Called the agency beck. After 20 -25 min wait agency called me back that they cannot hold of the girl and offer me another girl at great discount at another location even it was not their fault. I passed the offer because I had to be at my client place very soon.
You said you already pay a discount. How can the rest of us get this discount?
I have also had this happen with other agencies twice as well as two indies. The management has no real control over the ladies showing up to work or even pulling a whole shift. Sometimes they are sick, or mother nature, or they just had a bad client that left them not wanting another. All the management could do would be to offer another girl, which you didn't want. I don't blame you for not wanting what you ordered, but at least it sounds like they tried to accomodate you. I personally would be pissed at the girl, not the agency, but its your call.
I have had my problems with them in the past. I do not use Classy anymore and do not use Prime (Classy's brother company) either. Yes, they have some very hot looking women working but the girls are not the problem.
I am sure the $25 discount on a girl you had no interest in seeing made you change your mind. HaHaHaHa
Different Agency, but I called to make an appt @ Desirable and was told that they hadn't heard from the girl (brandy) all week... at least I didn't make an appt and they were very upfront so Kudos for honesty.
Very unprofessional behavior by the agency. Client's time is very valuable and the agency should try to tell you of problem as soon as it is aware of it and offer compensation. This has also happened to me with indys where I have confirmed, driven to the hotel and then she doesn't answer the phone and I go home frustrated. Yes, it goes with the turf in this business but that doesn't mean that we should tolerate it.
