I cant find more than a regular massage at an okay looking place... I'm looking for steam room and sauna.

Sun's Day Spa in Annandale VA.  Spa World in Centerville VA. I have heard MANY good things about Spa World. I know people that go once a week and stay there for hours.  It is open 24/7. Sun's Day Spa is open till midnight.

I have had MANY women tell me about Spa World and how much they enjoyed it. I think for what you are looking for its one of the better ones in the area. Plus you cannot always go by Yelp reviews alone. Many times the people posting  on Yelp aren't the most reliable. I find that to be true especially when it comes to restaurant reviews. I myself have not been there but I have heard about it and when I saw your post I googled.  

  It is worth a try, or just stick to the NY Spas. You also have to figure, this is not NYC. I have been to awesome spas in Europe that they just do not compare here in the U.S.

To the original poster, this is not NYC, I have been to many great spa in Europe and South America. I think my favorite is Castel Monastero in Siena (Italy) they do specialize in naturopathy and Ayurveda... of course its about €1500 euros, or Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel and Wellness in Peru (between Cuzco and Machu Picchu).

But I'm an easy type of woman. I enjoy every little thing that life offers me and make the best out of it.  
 I'm multifaceted type of woman, I enjoy luxury travel but at the same time I had amazing experiences backpacking in Central, South America and few places in Europe.  

Is like... when a client give me a $10 gift or a $1000 I receive it with the same love ❤️  

Sometimes isnt the place but the company ... oh... And I have been at the VA spa with a lovely client, we both enjoy it.... the body scrub is great.

lol Veronica , in Japan there is a place known as Fox World! Foxes of all colors all over and you can pet them, hang out with them, watch them.  Your pic reminded me of that. Lol 😂 I live in Alexandria and in ny last house I had these neighbors that had a chicken coop with fancy chickens. When I would walk to the gym I would slowly walk by their house when the chickens were out in the back yard, slyly taking pictures. I was amazed to see chickens in the DMV! Haha

They were not helpful!! They pointed out a few places nearby for just a Swedish or deep-tissue.  

I'm not sure I will make it out to spa world this trip, but maybe next time!

The only experience I have with them was couple years ago in Colorado at the wolf and wildlife center. Beautiful animals.
Other than that.. in South America at the The Carayá monkey reservation in the Cordoba Province in Argentina.. I volunteer there couple years ago too.  
The place that you mentioned in Japan looks awesome, one more thing to add to my bucket list  

Chickens.. yes.. at my grandma's ranch back "home" but here... I haven't see any in the DMV

spa world is still open!? lol last i heard, they were catching heat for housing/and employing illegal immigrants and issues with unsafe working/or living conditions? this may not help you now but according to korean newspaper, they are building a NEW spa on rte 50 otw to loudoun county (not that far from spa world). it should open doors next year. heard its supposed be 3 floors and real nice.

That is probably an understatement. Not only do competitors sometimes submit negative reviews on Yelp more than a few smaller (and some pretty large) web-based marketing/advertising/presence (web site development) actually sell X number of good reviews to get you started and noticed. I'm pretty sure some are willing to help further with some bad reviews of the existing competition to help get the new client a bit of the boost during the opening weeks.

Yelp is at best one input to any rating of business one might patronize.
