Believe when I say I'm not losing any sleep over it.

The new name for BP should be Blacks Prohibited. Just about every other BP ad refuses to see african american men.

Why would you want to see someone that does not want to see you?

Believe when I say I'm not losing any sleep over it.

It's called free enterprise. We have preferences, they have preferences. Would you rather know up front or find out when you get there?

If it's any consolation to you, I don't really care for African American women therefore I dont seek them. I just don't find them appealing to me.......my preference. And its not because I only see white women. I prefer Asians.

Your reading to much into it.  Enough said about this topic.

Spoken like someone who has never faced discrimination...

Doesn't sound like the OP wants to see those women...but would appreciate finding a resource where his "kind" would be welcomed and appreciated....

Of course people can whatever preferences they like..but until someone compiles a list of AA friendly providers, these constant "rejections" will grate one's nerves.  People hobby to avoid those rejections...not to beat heir heads against a brick wall until someone agrees to overlook our race and sees us...

They should add that as a filter to EROS and BP...what race of men will you see?  Make it a checkbox on a providers profile.  Save us some phone calls...and time...

she is not saying she doesnt like black men then  as ppl, or wouldnt work next to them share a cab with them go bowling or out to dinner with them...
they are saying, I prefer NOT to have sex with black men.
Black men are not attractive to them.
Black men are not her *type*

It is all about preferences.
AND its none of your business to judge who someone else will or will not be intimate with.
I have seen posts like this lately alot and its a shame some ppl feel they should force themselves on someone else.
Preferences preferences preferences.

you have this all turned  around and are looking at this business like a business, like a restaurant or hotel as if they should *service* everyone equally.
I believe they should...Yet
I am NOT a business. I am in the business of companionship but MY vagina is NOT!
I see whom I feel comfortable with, as do you.
I see black men but I dont see young men, I dont want to they dont turn me on so I figure why bother.
We All have preferences  Noone has a right to tell a woman whom should be intimate with I dont care what she charges
Noone tells you who to see.

I cant understand why some ppl JUST dont get this.
The bottom line here is
You just cant always have what you want.
Being attainable at this level doesnt mean we are a free for all and attainable to just anyone.

I agree you need to get the hell over it and mind your own business.
Stop trying to dictate who someone else should be fucking by your standards. Geesh.

This week in Arlington County Court there, are three trials involving different escorts being held by gun point, robbed and forced to participate in sodemy. The accused is the same guy, a large black male. The trials are held on consecutive days btw. The women advertised on the internet according to court filings.

In this week's Arlington Sun-Gazette there is a police report dated Jan 19th of an escort being "Abducted with intent to defile" by a black male, age 30 to 39, 170 lbs. Location, 2000 Jefferson Davis Hwy(Crystal City area) She was held against her will and sexually assaulted.

First, Im impressed with both the women for stepping up and pressing charges and Arlington Cty for prosecuting. I hope these bastards go to prison for a long time.

Secound, the women advertising on BP, CL etal arnt completely clueless and do keep their ear to the ground for their safety. They live in a dangerous world. I suspect this is the real reason for their reticence in seeing black men. Having this information, which is not ancient history but happening right now, what would you do?

With that being said....

The Craigslist Killer was a Caucasian male, yet there was no epidemic of providers claiming to not "date white men." I've heard stories of providers being raped and robbed by men of all races. But I think the OP just wants to know is why is it that only the "Black Men" get avoided as a group?

IMHO the recent threads on thsi topic were both observations.  One from a newbie just trying to understand the lay of the land.  And now this one where the OP simply makes an observation.

I dont see evidence where either OP wants to call NAACP, March on Washington or anything of the kind.

I think the salient missing point is that AA are/may be particularly sensitive when we see these types of references regardless of the arena and/or environment in which we see them.  Hence the general observation of seeing such a comment is readily made.

For those in our society where experiencing racism is not a daily and/or very regular occurence (cant get a cab; followed around in a department store; coded racists comments, etc, etc, etc) these observations may appear banal to you.  But walk a day, week, month in my shoes and then we can talk details and how seeing "I dont see AA" hits you then.

With that said, I personally am ENCOURAGED to see ladies developing the courage to freely post their preference!  Saves time, energy and effort.  I thank you!!!!

Nicole I, and I would dare say most, if not all AA, appreciate the disclosure of the ladies preferences..cause we dont want to be with anyone who does not want to be with us.  And yes the unique nature and intimacy of the services provided should make one EXPECT very preferences that may preclude services being rendered to be a normal course of business.

The recent crimes committed by some AAs against BP girls might have caused the increased number of disclaimers in their ads, but we humans tend to stereotype. Remember when Koreans (to a lesser extent, Asians) in this area were looked upon askance when we found out the guy that killed 32 people at Virginia Tech was Korean? Not to mention the shameful internment of Japanese Americans in WW II.

I once talked candidly about race in this hobby with the booker of a now-defunct agency (arguably the best DC has ever had). She told me it's true many of her girls do not like to see AAs/South Asians/Arabs. The girls think AAs are too 'big' and too rough; the girls are sore afterwards. They also think South Asians and Arabs have terrible body odors. Arabs can also be rough at times. These 'stereotypes' have nothing to do with crimes.

If the topic is about hobbying then how can it be "off focus"?  Whatever that's supposed to mean.

Get over yourself.  The level of vitriol you have in response to such a simple observation/question is pretty out of line.

The poster who complains about a provider not wanting to have sex with a particular strain of customer has obviously never looked through the backpage ads and said to himself, "Too fat;" "Too skinny; "Too tall;" "Too short;"  "NOT ATTRACTIVE ENOUGH;" "Not attractive to me;" etc., etc., etc.

When it comes to romance and sexuality, even as a going concern, one need not apologize for "racism."  It is one of the few endeavors where ethnicity, cultural origin, or even it just being the wrong color is an acceptable reason for rejection because it is merely a factor of attraction or personal comfort.  There are innumerable women on backpage who, based merely on the picture, I have pre-emptively rejected solely on their appearance.  Yet, those who "aren't my type" are someone else's ideal.  I see no reason why providers cannot have standards in potential clients who more match their personal tastes.

Some providers don't want to see clients, because of their race, while I don't to see them because of theirs.

But others take the subject very serious. BP = Black Prohibited - very funny

Your observation is correct, and I am sure you know the reason why everyone else replied as they did.

Enjoy Life for all there is, tomorrow is never promised to be there.

Sorry, buddy.  I hope you find viable replacements.  As a white guy that doesn't run into this problem, I don't feel comfortable telling someone to "get over it" not having walked in those shoes.  My peers here see it differently, though, apparently.  You don't seem to have lost your sense of humor over it though.  lol.
