"How important are the number of referrals vs. the quality, if you will, of said referral (i.e. how highly reviewed, highly sought after is said lady)."
For me personally, the answer is simply "yes." I don't need or expect a million referrals, but if you have less than two, then we have a bit of an issue.
However, having a referral from a lady I know personally or have seen active on the boards, etc will always make me feel more comfortable than having a whole list of ladies that I've never heard of.
Bottom line, for me a reference must have a website and some way of tracking that she is legit (such as TER reviews). She doesn't need to be the most sought after, but I do need some assurance that she is legit and established.
I'm fairly new to making TER reviews, but not new to hobbying in general. I joined Date-Check and Preferred 411 and now have references on both, and I have a White List referral.
My question is this, What makes screening go most efficiently? How important are the number of referrals vs. the quality, if you will, of said referral (i.e. how highly reviewed, highly sought after is said lady). It seems to me that in order to be seen by a lady in demand, you must first have already seen a demanded lady.
I visit the area for a couple of months a year, so I am trying to reach my target audience: The beautiful ladies who are in the area, as well as the hot ones who visit the area often.
Before my first review, I did not pass the screening of such a lady who understandably did not know who I was. I had references, but none from the area, plus I had no TER reviews. As you can imagine, I really don't want to have that experience again. So, I went to work on building my credibility.
I would have put this on the newbie board, but I am not new to hobbying and my target audience are the ladies who would visit this regional board.
I would also welcome other tips for what I can do to pass screening, especially tips from seasoned reviewers.
I still of course would love to see that first lady if she reads this. I don't hold it against her at all, safety is first.
If you have P411 and Date Check with verifications in addition to references from providers, you should pass the screening of 95% of the ladies out there.
As for the lady that turned you down before you acquired the aforementioned credentials, resubmit your request with the new information. She will probably be more receptive.
One thing that may help is to make sure you give the provider your references and date-check info on the initial email or call,so she doesn't have to ask.
I think the quality of the refernce beats the quanity. Like if you have a provider who clearly remembers you , and she speaks very highly of you then, thats better than two providers who barely remember you.
as you see more providers your credibility will grow!

Thank you all for the valued input and suggestions. I am planning an upcoming trip to DC and started the screening process, including my info up front. So far, so good.....
