I also agree with the OP.

In the newer version positions of, "agree" button and "decline" button are switched. This caused me to decline the agreement 10 times before I realized what I was doing.

This version sucks !!!

I recommend that you use the old site until they fix the problems.

Who cares about cosmetic changes?  The fact that board posts are not time sorted by the original poster's time & that you cant see the subject of any responses without clicking on the post makes the Board more annoying than useful.

Cosmetic changes? Web page improvements affect usability. The new design is a far superior, imho, YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary).

I think it is a vast improvement though it needs some refining. That will come in time.

I cannot tell which e-mails that I have sent have or have not been read.

It would be helpful to know if an e-mail is to an active account that can receive e-mail as well or a non-VIP account but that would be a new feature.

It would also be nice to have the option to flatten threads so they are time ordered and not according to the alleged message it is replying to.  Subject in message should default to "Re: " and then the preceding subject in my view. Also a new feature. The tree structure has always been annoying to me personally. I like my threads flat.

Also, I think BOARD TIME should default to the locale of the regional board where appropriate. I have explicitly set my timezone in "My TER". I would hope that time is stored in the database using server time or GMT/UTC time as opposed to everyone's local time. When assembling the page, the correct TZ should then be applied.

Just my opinions not gospel. I was never a web designer but I have done a lot of server-side web development in Java.

All in all a really good launch.

Just logged in after a month or so of not reading discussions.  Don't like the boards.  I want to see all posts at once like I could in the old design.

Agree that the timestamp of the original message should be the order, as it makes it very difficult to find new posts.  Also, it was far better to see all of the posts under each original message.

And that is progress?  I don't think so.  

It clearly was not properly tested...and to launch overnight with no announcement or anything.  I realize that this was available for beta for a while...but, to call this a very good launch as one responder stated is missing the mark.

Don't get me wrong, there have been some steps forward...but there are some BIG problems that need to be overcome.

Yesterday there were nearly 7 thousand users online.  I truly believe this new beta version will hurt TER and all of it's users.  It's a shame they took the steps to change something that was working so well.  Now we have a board that looks and operates worse than ASPD.  I use the classic version as often as I can.  The classic version far excedes this new one.  Many of us are keeping both the new and the classic up at the same time.  I hope everyones comments about this change are not falling on deaf ears.  Paying members will leave.  I hope they don't.  But with this new change, I fear we will lose many members.

There have been good points made for areas that need to be adddressed and there are somethings that are better. This all or nothing attitude is what IMHO is wrong with so much in life. I stated yesterday and am re-stating again to improve you fix or attempt to fix what is not functioning as well as it could and leave what is not a problem alone.

  The old format for the message board was damn near perfect and that is what 95% of the people are complaining about.

  The point was made that we would like to know if a member is able to be contacted via pm. This would be an improvement for the better as no one knows if a pm will get to the member or not.

    Removing the view all button from the threads is a big negative IMHO

    Putting the View My Posts button in MY TER instead of leaving it on the message board is IMHO a negative as I have 3 more clicks to get there and 3 more to get back to the board.

    The seach feature is an improvement and has been expressed as such.

    The display with providers total reviews and over all averages is an aprovement.
These are some of the things that I have noticed and have been brought up here, but the biggest issue is that the functionality of this board IMHO and in the majority from what I have read is that the new board format is not liked.

  Some of the issues are that the posts are very spread out I.E. way too much white space, The posts are bumped to the front, so I as a provider coul in effect move my ad to the top of the board every day. I have not and will not but it is happening. Cannot view all of the thread, so cannot deam a thread worthy with out opening it. This causes more time which IMHO will not occur since we are all time crunched to begin with.

  So IMHO there are issues that do need attention and if given this the proper changes can be made to make this a wonderful site to belong to.
