primedc seems to be down. It's expired from DNS servers around the world, although the website is still there if you add primedc.net to your hosts file at 76.73.88.130. There have been no site updates now for a week.

This is different than capitoltreasures which now redirects to google when the same attempt is tried.

prime's DNS entry was set to expire on the 16th. Has anybody tried contacting them or is everybody running scared due to the "bust in Maryland" posted earlier?

Putting on his "geek" hat:

The word in the Geek back alley is their Domain Register DIRECTNIC last year did a major systems upgrade and have been having issues ever since.

This could be related to that issue however when I proxy from outside the USA I can go to their site so who knows. A messed up DNS record in their hosting server can also have similar symptoms since they are a unix system using Cpanel.

Maybe the site comes and goes? I'm getting nothing when I use the name and something green and yellow with the numbers.

Error

The page 'http://www.primedc.net/' couldn't be loaded.

Cannot resolve hostname

DNS Servers: 4.2.2.1/4.2.2.6 (level three, not my ISP's)

Works well if I use an international proxy from Europe.

Does not work from my Blackberry either.

All good now. Note that screen caps I posted earlier were a direct name server query, no cache involved. Blackberry working fine now too. Stuff happens in DNS. We all live w/ the hope that the Internet is stable all the time. It just isn't.
