Ive said this time and time again. Not all agencies are the same so the risk of using one is not the same for all.
Well.....the big thing these days is HUMAN TRAFFICKING!
What is Human Trafficking?

LE is going after agencies that transfer girls from out of state to make money. They go after agencies that they can prove have coerced girls into "visiting" and leaving their home state
Heck, look at agencies empolyment ads Lol
"travel to DC and make 5K" and things like that.

LE cant waste too much time going after agencies with only local girls, not too much coercion going on there and they dont have 6 girls staying in 1 hotel for days on end with their do not disturb signs staying up so cant post surveillance for days
Agencies like this operate on pure greed, they dont really screen, they dont take proper safety precautions, they dont help the girl when shes busted and they dont keep a lawyer on retainer.
Another thing, agencies with a new girl each week...bad sign! Fun for you guys, sure but a big risk as well.
And BTW calling an AGENCY a group of indy's does NOT make an agency safe from anything an agency owner could be charged with. If you are placing ads out of state, flying girls out, booking rooms and receiving a cut of the girls $ you're a pimp according to LE, they arent dumb.
Im doing a bit of investigative journalism and Ive talked to local LE about human trafficking. I should have a good read for you in a few months. Good meaning interesting/helpful, not eloquent or particularly well written Lol(writing is not my forte)

An Indy girl has her own site, makes her own plans and maybe pays a booker/assistant but she isnt working with a group of girls all under same number and site.

Ive had dozens of girls practically beg for a job when these shitty local agencies leave them hanging after being busted due to lack of screening or poor management.
When a girl is busted shes taken off the site and replaced in a jiffy as if she never existed...real nice!!!! Oh and dont forget that since shes from out of town often times she is stranded after being released from booking. Yes, Ive received some pretty frantic emails for help

The bottom line is just use your own brain, assess the risk you're willing to take and make your own decisions.

LE looks at ALL agency owners as pimps no matter how they conduct business. Im well aware of that

Every girl who works here has my lawyers number and knows Im here for them should anything happen. We're friends, we hang out and know each other. I wouldnt leave my friends hangin if they called me late night and needed help and I wouldnt leave these girls either.

A nosy ass hotel employee could walk by the room and see a guy walk in, who knows...there are ways of getting in trouble despite thorough screening and efforts to stay incognito. This I know as well

Im not trying to pump my agency up, I just loathe the agencies that treat girls like meat and I dont have a problem saying so....believe me, those agencies and I have had words in person so its no secret to them either

I was wondering which people prefer. I lean to independents under the theory there are fewer LE issues, but maybe I am just being paranoid.

Both have advantages and disadvantages, and I've used both in the past...

Advantages of Escort Agency

1. New girl every other week or more.
2. No need to verify every time you want to get laid with a new girl.
3. No dealing with girl herself. As long as you are on good terms with the Agency owner, you are fine.
4. Price control. Most agencies in DC area are keeping prices at 300. Which make them good bang for the buck.
5. If the girl turns out to be a dud, you can escalate the issue to the agency

Disadvantages of Escort Agency

1. Agencies get lot of visibility. If LE cracks down the Agency your information is at risk. This is huge risk.


Advantages of Indies
1.  More personalized services (sometimes)
2.  Information relatively safer than agencies.

Disadvantages
1.  No way to escalate issues.
2.  Disappointment of NO SHOW.
3. Need to go through painful verification process almost every time with a new independent.
4.  Most of the good indies are not good for "quick fuck". You almost always have to book them in advance.

That being said, with my style of hobbying, I would rather see agency girls, and have used 2 reputable agencies in the past. I like to get a quick fuck on the go, and the agencies always deliver. But these days I am leaning more towards independents, and changing my hobbying style - mostly due to LE scare.

A well written and fair observation based upon your model of the world.

The only thing I would add and it has less to do with hobbyist and more to do with the how to's of agency ownership.

Something I remind two  agency owners I'm mentoring in other parts of the country.

"Your agency is a reflection of who you are, what you believe, what you honesty think of  yourself and how you manage your life. Therefore, who you are is whom you will attract. This ultimately determines your outcome. "

Oh and.. sometimes my associates give these really cute mint chocolates on the pillow *laugh*

For us Johns it's a hobby. For agency owners its your bread and butter.

Can you expound on couple of your statements? How are you not a pimp? Just because you don't fly girls from out of state? I would really like to read what you have to report. Also, if one of your girls were to get busted, how would you stand by her? I know you screen heavily, but what would you do if something bad were to happen?

I can see that you are trying to establish a brand image of being honest, decent, and ethical agency. And you are all the above, but this doesn't mean that you are not subject to the risks of other agency owners.

LE might be fishing for high volume and more conspicuous agencies, but they will take what they can get.

I've only seen one agency girl. The rest have been independents because I hobby impulsively. My approach is to go on this site, BP, and CV to stay upto date. And if I see a girl I like and know is legit I call her.

You're right "we don't" fly people in since it's a violation of the Mann act. Nor do we represent or hire  independents, porn stars or strippers.  Unlike others in the past we don't  recruit on myspace or Facebook either. Why? Because the latter presents whole other set of vulnerabilities.  

Any Associate here, is here because they want to be. They sought us out and then beat out 97% of all the other applicants since only 3% of women make it to interview. Then I only hire about 1.5 percent last time we measured it.

Sidebar note : 60% of applicants are immediately rejected because they can't fill out an application and demonstrate their understanding that a sentence begins with a capital and ends with a period. What is truly sad is how many of the latter are over 30 and purport to have a degree of some kind.
Those of you who are employers know what I'm talking about. I can only imagine what other decent agencies endure.

Anyway....

There is a reason why I have a low turn over, its simple my associates and clients are people.

That being said, associates have policy and proceedure drilled into them,  if they didn't have faith and trust in "it", "my word" and in "me", then they wouldn't stay. I need to state the obvious here in this business, if a women can't trust IN YOU, she wont stay. Remember these are smart women who are NOT victims, don't need saving and resent it when clients assume they do.*laugh*

Thank you..... and I'm NOT surprised you "get it".Oh I HATE those ads. First off they tell what we both know to be obvious lies. Second, only the most marketable individual stands a remote chance of  making 5k in a day (as some ads have claimed) is if you install a revolving door and you don't screen at all.


It would appear we are the the only two Unicorns in the forest. The problem with that is people can look right at you and not believe what they see.
