Question about repeat cancellations

Hi everyone!  I usually don't post much, but I have a question I could really use an answer to.  I have a potential client who continually schedules a date and then cancels.  Usually the cancellation is at the last minute, with the most recent being 30 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive.  He seems nice on the phone, and has never been inappropriate, but I have now wasted quite a bit of time prepping and missed opportunities to schedule other clients.  How should I handle this when he calls back to reschedule?  I know we all sort of live and die by reviews, and I definitely don't want to piss him off, but I'm tired of having my chain yanked.  Any suggestions?

Geeze, you have pretty much said it all. Kick him to the curb. Being classy, you just tell him you won't be able to deal with his cancellations anymore and need to move on.

Chances are his review would suck anyway, if he that inconsiderate, that he cancel several times.

You cannot continually allow someone to treat your time in such a manner.  Those guys are what is termed "time-wasters" and there are plenty of these guys around... don't bother, he will probably never end up seeing you.

...he can't write a review, so don't fret it.  If he has blown you off more than a couple of times, punt him!

I appreciate everyone's replies, and your confirmations that I need to not waste my time with people such as this.

I may be mostly a lurker here on the boards, but it's nice to know you are all willing to impart wise counsel when I do need it.

Thanks much!!!
