I was having a discussion with a friend who knows I hobby but does not partake of the opportunity himself.  He asked me what was more important to me when looking for a woman ... looks, reviews, reputation, services offered, requested donation, location, etc.

 
I thought it was a very good question and there are so many answers, I could not give him one to encompass every situation. I told him for me, there were many factors including but not limited to, my "mood" when I decided to see someone, my financial situation at that time, my available time, PLUS everything he mentioned.

 
I further explained that there are some ladies on my "bucket list" for many other reasons, some that I could not explain.

 
It appears that guys who post an ISO are not too discernng in who they see but I do not know that for a fact. I base that solely on the information they show in a post (i.e. - "looking for anyone in town"). Of course, they may decline certain ladies because they do not meet their "criteria" which, if they posted it, they could save themselves more time but I digress.

 
What are your "leading factors" in deciding who you want to see?

In this order.

1.  Appearance, including body type.
2.  Location, since I have to travel to play.
3.  Reputation, including reviews.
4.  Donation.
5.  Personality displayed on website.  Some ladies just sound really cool, while some are all business or are looking for
     "upscale gentlemen" whatever that means.  Also, reasonable verification.  No real names or employment.
6.  Specific activities.  Not so important since everyone seems to enjoy the things that I enjoy.

Since the private groups that I used to belong to are no longer around, new ladies are more of a question mark.  There was nothing like getting a referral from a friend about someone new in town.

Hands

Begins with appearance. Not that I’m exactly searching for a certain type or look. Nor is it absolutely necessary to have a clear facial pic. But there has to be something about her photos that intrigues me.
Then it’s the reviews. Must be by credible TER gents , positive and include enough detail that assures me she is what I consider to be GFE
Next is rates. Needs to be in the range where I can afford at least a 90 minute session.

Chemistry and compatibility are important. But those are factors impossible to measure until you actually spend some time with a lady.  However, they are essential issues when it comes to repeating.

1. Looks.  This includes the face.  I need to be attracted to the lady (and I don't mean "escort" pretty, I mean real life pretty).  Sure, many ladies have sexy bodies, but if the face isn't working for me my member doesn't work as well either.

2. Body.  If I'm paying for it I want a great body.  Legs, tits, ass, no fat (or just not overweight).  

3. Service.  I don't ask for anything odd or out of the ordinary.  Just regular DFK, BBJ and a few positions and I'm happy.  

4 Consideration.  I don't mind giving $1500 for two hours with a great provider, so consideration is not an issue for me.  But, it has to be worth it!  If the lady hits all three points above...I don't mind a high consideration at all.

Probably at top would be appearance.  I can't really describe what kind of appearance, just that "I'll know it when I see it".  Knowing that discretion is important, I am fine with photos that hide the face, although I prefer blurring to the "headless torso" photos.  And appearance would include the lady's website personality as well - sometimes that will make me want to see someone.

Reputation and reviews would be next, kind of lumped together.  And reviews by well-known and trusted hobbyists rather than one-time reviewers.

I do look at the requested donation - I do have a threshold I prefer not to exceed, but it's generous enough to see most ladies.

Location - if inside the DC Beltway, prefer something Metro accessible.  Outside the Beltway, most anything goes.

Two points not mentioned:  Reasonable screening.  If someone wants full legal name, employer, photocopy of driver's license, I simply move on.  I'm fine with providing references, whitelists, and verbal descriptions.  Also day of the week and time.  I'm kind of opposite from other hobbyists in that weekends actually work best for me (and sometimes evenings).  This sometimes runs counter to many schedules.

I agree with many points already discussed. Everyone has their own criteria of course. When I go on the hunt, I look at the picture first to see if it has "The Look". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me it has changed over time (read decades). In my younger years, I was wanting/needing big boobies, thin and cute face and preferably blonde. These days, I still need a cute face but don't care about breast size anymore. I do like a nice bubble butt. I am not picky about hair color either, as long as they have hair. LoL.  

So after looks, I see if they are in my price range. Why lust after someone that I can not afford. I know my financial limits. Having met those criteria, I look at reviews and personality. I take reviews with a grain of salt. Know that there are blatant shills and sellouts. Personality sometimes comes out in the discussion boards, reviews, ads and webpages.  

As an example, i saw someone who had a longtime board presence. I had crossed her off the bucket list years ago, because I was told she was flaky, sometimes she was hot and sometimes not. Plus several reviews had said her pics were old and not representative of her current body shape. Then she posts a recent selfie, along with some snarky posts that I identified with. I was happy to meet her and had a great time.  

Sometimes people (male n female) out themselves as Bat shit crazy on computer boards. Egotists. Self absorbed asshats. Baiters. Narcissists. Personality disorders are evident.  

But sometimes us horny people make a connection and have great chemistry and fulfill each other's needs.

You pretty much described what I look for. Looks of course, rates, why go further if I can’t afford to, reviews of course, screening requirements, Location, the closure the better.

Appearance - This is hard to describe but I know what I like and this is kind of fluid.

Reviews - This is really about reading between the lines. The mechanics of the session are less important than the mood and tone of the sessions. I do look forward to certain activities and I look to see if there is a pattern of these things being offered. I also look at who wrote the review, how long they've been doing this and the number of reviews they've posted.

Reputation - No drugs, no drunks, no smoking, no drama.

Rate - In the current environment, some providers are simply cost prohibitive for me.

Location and time availability - I don't like to travel distances or sit in traffic to see providers and unfortunately, my schedule is erratic. So, I like someone relatively close and might be available on the same day.

I am pretty subjective in regard to selecting providers.   Appearance is primary, not necessarily stark raving gorgeous but at least attractive.  I have had some great times with ladies that were rated 7or even 6 for appearance.  
Second is reviews but this can be chancy, there have been some pretty poor experiences with highly rated providers and some great ones with lesser scores.  I suspect some of the reviews are "juiced" more than a little bit.  So I actually read the reviews, especially the low rating ones.  Third check the provider/agency websites for attitude.  Provider websites that reflect a good attitude (friendly, relaxed, playful, sexy, nice photos, etc)  are a big plus.  Anybody that has a published cancelation policy is IMHO a danger.  If they have so many cancelations/walkouts that they need a client to agree to a cancelation or walkout fee there could be an issue with the provider or service.  This usually a problem in that the provider is not the person expected from the ad.  I've seen Asian and Latina ads where the provider turned out to be of a completely different ethnicity.  That's a lick on them not the client.  Verification can be a deal breaker if they want full names, address, workplace phone or similar.  I have even seen some that want a photo of the client, photo of driver's license, work id, etc.  Everyone wants to be secure and that includes the client.  The whole idea of P411 (I thought) was to avoid providing that kind of info.   Finally, just the overall vibe that I get from all of the above.  Pretty subjective overall?  Yeah, it is.
